I don't know what's worse....having a pass that expires 48 hours from the opening of pirates or not having a pass untill septemberish when I can afford one again.
I wouldn't count on a soft opening at all :/ The movie execs are keeping a tight lid on everything.
If you renew your pass know, you'll get a discount...

The Pirates of the Caribbean rides at both WDW and DL are getting updates that you haven't seen yet (I'm assuming you went around Spring Break-WDW felt the ride needed to be up and running then so they held off the refurbishment a bit). WDW's re-opens on July 7th, and DL's re-opens June 26th-to the public, anyway.
I might also add that, from general concencus, Pirates of the Caribbean at DL is far superior to WDW's.

How about sucks not to be close enough to HAVE an AP?
Only being able to visit the place I love most every two or three years makes it difficult to have a lot of sympathy for y'all.

Not being close enough doesn't have anything do w/ getting an AP. I live 800 miles from DL and have an AP. I also live 1800 miles from WDW and am getting an AP next summer.
Sadly, I j/ got back from WDW and won't visit DL until after the 50th is over. I can't see Pirates until at least Nov. 2006. *sigh*.....
