Question Any plus size Disneyland guests unable to ride a park ride?

Okay, don't laugh fellow skinny MiceChatters...

I have an aunt in my Disneyland july trip party and she's- well she'd probably be upset with me asking but I don't want her to be embarrased at the park so let me ask this in all seriousness...

She's about 250lbs, 5'6" and has latin hips, she's a big woman of course by her own personal choice since she chooses not to maintain a healthy diet but is overweight like most of the country, anyways,

Have you seen or experienced someone who was told they couldn't ride a ride at Disneyland/DCA because of their size? And which ride was it?

The reason I ask is because over at Six Flags Over Texas, she was told to get off a ride where parents could ride with their kids, she couldn't ride because the bar wouldn't come down. She could get the seatbelt on but the bar couldn't come down and lock in place. She was told to get off and had an embarassing moment and soon got over it an hour later.

So with that story said, are there any rides in Disneyland that I should kinda talk her out of to save her from the same embarrassing experience?

I hope someone here can help in my quest to save her from being told she can't ride a ride. I don't want her to go through another embarrasing moment at the happiest place on earth.

    Thank you MiceChatters.

One of my co-workers, who is also overweight cannot ride Space Mountain. It is the only ride in both parks he cannot ride.

We have lots of big-boned people on these boards who have no problem with Disney rides. Probably the Matterhorn will be tightest fit, big people should sit in one of the two back rows of either bobsled, avoiding the front.

I'm 5'4" and range between 230 and 250. Bear is 6' and I guess 275 to 295 (he's built like a football player) and neither of us have ever had a problem at DL. Some of the older single seat rides are a little snugger in the fanny than we are used to but neither of us don't fit. We occasionally ride separately (the Matterhorn-same car, different seats) but thats just common sense. I've never had a CM make any comment on either of our weights. I think she'll be fine!

Well, this is pretty immature and not funny or clever or "cute" or whatever it was you were going for with this.

I'm a big fella, and the only tight fit is Space Mountain (lap bar doesn't come all the way down). Still, I've never had a problem with any attraction, and I've always felt secure in the vehicles.

I believe Disney designs their rides to fit some of us larger folks.

The only ride I've ever been slightly uncomfortable with it getting in and out of Gadget's Go Coaster (I'm 5'5" and 175). But, once in I was okay.

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

I forgot about that one. Yeah, it's a tight fit.

The only issue I had was I had my knees crunched on Space Mountain and they had me move a bit towards the back. I'm 6'1" and 250 pounds.

I usually ask and am very upfront about it when I ride stuff, saying, "hey, will I fit here?" They usually nod and don't have a problem.

I have not been on the orange stinger at DCA. I've heard the bar is difficult to get over large chests.....I did ask the CM on duty during my last trip and I was told there is no weight limit.
