    Smile DIsney Bucks?

SO, I have another question! I asked for DIsney Bucks for my birthday for our trip. How does the Disney Buck work? once your done, can you revert ir back to a regular buck? Do any place outside of DIsneyland and DCA take the buck?

    I'm so excited! WHooOoOoOO! Disneyland!

    p.s. I'm 22!

its basically a gift certificate that you can use anywhere in the DLR, WDW Disney Store, etc.

however, if you want to revert back to real money, just take it up to any cash register with your receipt and they will change it back for you.

if you DONT have a receipt...have fun wth your new souvineers!

    ps...happy birthday

It is possible to exchange Disney Dollars to American Dollars at any (stores within the parks or hotels) cash register. But the origional recipt is needed. And they are good at any Disney store at the Resort (including World of Disney and Marceline's Candy Factory in DTD). There are Leasee's within the park that don't accept Disney Dollars, so just ask.

Does anyone know if they take Disney dollars at the BB? DOes every store and shoip in DL take them? Also, can I use DIsneystore gift cards in DL?
    Thanks!

I'm not sure about the sword shop in Fantasyland. My son loves that store and he asked about the AP discount when he was buying his dragon letter-opener and they don't give a discount (I'm assuming that store is independently owned?) so maybe that particular one doesn't accept the disney dollars. I'm not sure about any others.

the stores that arent owned by Disney ((Names Unraveled, Rubio Artists, Face Painting, etc)) dont take the DD for transactions.

when i was there, we didnt take the Disney Store gift cards, but with MATRA mucking everything up, they might now.

but i think it would be safer to get a Disney Gift Card at the park, that one fore sure can be used everywhere

Disney Dollars are accepted as regular currency at the resort at any location fully owned by Disney (including Blue Bayou), so an outside vendor like the Sparkly Store in NOS would not accept them. They would, however, be accepted at the three Resort hotels and the gift shops and restaurants inside them.

Yes, Disney Dollars can be exchanged for regular U.S. money at any cash register, but no, a receipt is not necessarily required. If you're exchanging a large amount of Disney Dollars, though, they may not agree to that because some people use buying Disney Dollars as a cash advance and they're trying to prevent that. If you explain that the Disney Dollars were a gift, you might have a better chance, but it also depends on the amount. If you're trying to exchange $40, I can't imagine that would be a problem. If you're trying to exchange $200, that might be a different situation.

    Have a great time!

anything over $25 requires a manager's approval for returning, and DD DO need a reciept for exchanging in stores

just go to the Games, we dont care

I'm a big fan of using Disney Bucks to avoid ATM fees.

I generally buy (then use my Check Card) for about $40 in Disney Bucks, when I need cash. I'm at DL enough that it gets used eventually.
