Re: Fishing in Rivers of America

What are you implying about the Loch Ness Monster?

You'll be saying next that Walt Disney isn't frozen, or Elvis isn't alive, or daddy long legs aren't a poisonous spider, or Big Foot doesn't haunt the back woods of rural America, or Doctor M'Butu from Nigeria didn't inherit 16 million dollars from his father that he needs my help to claim!

Sorry if I sound upset, but I just fell off the turnip truck.

As far as fishing from Tom Sawyer's Island goes, I have only two words that are sure to prevent it from ever happening again: fish hook.

some kind of "animatronic" fish, restrict fishing to the "ol' fish'n hole" and
let people try to catch them w/ simulated hooks (more like magnets).

Once you catch one, you get a sticker or something.... they "throw" the
    "fish" back.

5 min max or something for group. The "catch-ability" can be dialed in
by the range of the fish from the "hook".

Basically a fancy version of the fish catching game.
This sounds like a great alternative! No one gets offended or upset, and no fishies get hurt

I'd also suggest that they wouldn't have this in the Rivers of America per se (I really don't trust that water...yuck), but they could make a seperate pool for the "fishies".

There may still be fish in the ROA. Last year, while on a trip on the Mark Twain, I saw a Floater. And he wasn't an audioanimatronic.

    Yeah, leave Nessie alone!

So, the good doctor still hasn't got his 16 million, huh? I shudder to think how many people have fallen for that.

Gotta say, I love the fishing game idea.

Considering that they just added crayfish back to the fishpond near Big Thunder Mountain, you may end up with something unexpected on your pole.

    Hmm. That didn't sound right.

They don't smell because no one is fishing them out and then leaving them on a pathway or dock lol.

ExJungleSkipper95 pretty much hit the nail on the head...and personally,
I wouldn't eat ANYTHING from those waters. They are nasty. Fantasmic, leakage from the boats...no thanks.
