Good times. The entry to frontierland is the same, But it looks less crowded than it is today.

Ah, the good old days, when the Rivers of America were filled with Campbell's Tomato Soup.

I've got the soundtrack for Mine Train Through Natures Wonderland, and I get so mad when I listen. I will never be able to ride it! Curse me for being born in the 80's! "Is gettin' two women folk mean your the winner or the looser?"

Isn't the guy who did the narration for that the same guy that tells you to "hold on to them hats, and glasses, Cause this is the wildest ride in the wilderness!"

    Thanks so much!
I really loved Frontierland when I was very young.
The Indian Village, The mine train, and the pack mules!
Most of what was on tv were westerns, and it was so real to me.

Unfortunately they changed the recording on BTMRR as of a few years ago. It used to be "this here's the wildest riiiiiiiide in the wilderness", now it's "this here's the wildest ride in the WILLLderness" and, imho, it sounds a little silly.

Oogie: Hope you don't mind if I post a few old Frontierland photos in this thread. Let me know if it's not okay. Here's some from TV in the 1950s:

Some more "Then and Now" pictures from Frontierland, starting with the old Frontierland train station (? - maybe New Orleans Square station?)
I love this one: The Mine Train through Nature's Wilderness, and the boarded up mine train hole near the Big Thunder Pond, where it is now!
