Oh well, let's look at the bright side of this thread. At least the woman wasn't wearing an AP on a lanyard while she was being sick and irritable.
I'm sorry, but I see absolutely no reason why anyone should so empathy for someone who is cursing at CM for something THEY should have done. That happens a little to much in customer service, so I don't buy that one bit.

Regardless of how sick and terrible you feel, there's no reason to act like a horrible person and treat others with disrespect.

Re: Bad Guest at First Aid

The CM's and the Nursing Staff are so great at First Aid.

Once I had to be picked up off the floor in the jewelry store and carted of to First Aid. You know a wheelchair hurts when it hits your hard on an already damaged ankle.

They gave me a cot, iced down my ankle, bandaged me up with an ice pack, got security to wheel me to the tram. The security person found three guys to help me off the tram and made sure I made it to my car.

    Now I call that service.

And the few other times I have been there they have been wonderful.

That woman needed to be escorted out of the park.

    Now THAT'S funny.
Compared to the language comming out of the womans mouth, what the other guest said was clean in comparison!

Never expected this thread to take an anti-cm turn.

I am a Cast Member. As a Cast Member I will do everything I can to help a guest, that's my job. However, there are things that are not in my power to do. When it comes to that, I apologize, and tell the guest there is nothing more I can do for them. If the guest can't see I've done all I can and thinks that I can magically make everything better, sorry, it doesn't work that way. There are limits, and just because I work for the Happiest Place On Earth that does not, under any stretch of the imagination, give them the right to verbally abuse me. Not on this planet. Not on any other planet. Certainly not at Disneyland. And if that person finds it necessary to berate and belittle another human being in order to feel good, then they need to find the nearest exit. Happily, I'm able to say that in my position I've had the extreme pleasure of helping such people find that exit. If you can't come to Disneyland and have a good time, even when something goes wrong ( IE: the original poster made the best of a bad situation), then maybe you should find something else to do.

I'm with SQ on this. Even if you are feeling ill, you don't unload on a CM for something YOU should have taken responsibility for. I DO feel bad that someone is letting this woman run around by herself. Anyone who would pop a cork like that needs more than tylenol and peptobismal. If she was off of her meds, then I would certainly have a bit of chagrin to deal with from my earlier post.

If, however, she is having a tantrum simply because she is a narcissistic, spoiled, selfish individual who is not getting her way at the moment, I have ZERO empathy for her.

Maybe the good folks at the First Aid station could borrow some dart guns from the jungle cruise....

I was waiting for the possible AP'er comment.

Knew I wouldn't have to wait long...

Do you think she was a PAP'er, or a DAP'er? Or maybe a SoCal AP'er?

    LOL

And kudos to the First Aid CM's!

Where did I say it was OK to act the fool? Where did I say anything this woman did was OK? All I said was that's the way some folks are when they don't feel good. And I always try to have empathy for folks in distress, even if they're acting like the fool, "But for the Grace of G_d, go I." it's the Christian thing to do.

Some of you folks, in the abstract* , take stuff way too literally.

That was totally rude and inappropriate. The CM's handled it well. It isn't their responsibility to find her group for her. Ill or not she didn't need to take it to that level.

That is a good idea. And I don't think it's alright regardless if she's feeling well or not to have an adult temper tantrum, perhaps thats why her group wasn't with her because she was being a nasty person, or she would never say things like that to her group so she found someone to say it to. Whichever way it might have been she's lucky I don't work at Disneyland and I wasn't that cm. Maybe that's why I could never work at Disneyland..... that is the face people would have if I were that cm lol. Good job to those cms!!!

The staff at First Aid are some of the best the park has to offer. Such a shame this lady had to treat them like that. They're registered nurses, not maidservants!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

    What 10-8 said.

There are some guests who are just bound and determined NOT to have a good time. Those guests should be shown the door when their bad time starts to influence the otherwise good experiences of other guests.

Re: Bad Guest at First Aid

Once my wife had a very serious allergic reaction and started to swell up, it was pretty bad. She looked a lot like a villain from Dick Tracy. I was scared.

I took her to the First Aid Station, and was really upset and worried, and kind of hysterical.

The Nurses were FANTASTIC!!! Not only did they give my wife the best medical attention, but took me aside and told me to calm down, everything was under control.

Just want to say that I didn't cuss or yell or blame them (even though I still have a sneaking suspicion she got it from a dirty ride vehicle) because I'm not a jerk.

While I've had some very bad CMs (only two or three really) the First Aid station CMs were as perfect as they come.
