One thing that I really remember from that night is everyone waiting in the line that snaked around the hotel shuttle drop-off and pick-up area, and if they weren't engrossed in discussion, they were reading the newest Harry Potter. It was kinda fun trying to spot all of the readers in line.

Boy does that pic above bring back memories.

But the real question is what color was your wrist band in line?

I was in the second group. And PINK rules!

I was there. I was among the few, the proud, the borderline-insane who stormed the castle gates and commandeered the carousel.

Okay, so it wasn't quite that dramatic, but still...

    I was there July 5 2005
    and May 5 2005.
On July 5th we stayed at Grand Calif.
Knowing that we'd be let in, we all slept in our beds. Ah, they were nice.

    We had fun!

Re: July 17, 2005 - Were You There?

My family and I car painted our car, drove over 500 miles, and I made custom t-shirts. (A disney executive told me i should have taken them to the marketing department) We got there about 12 am in the morning... and we were suprised how many people were already there. We didn't even get into the second group of wristband colors. In the park, my dad and brother got in the merchandise line right away and the rest of us got a spot for the ceremony. We ended up with two "I was there" pins and everyone got back in time to watch the ceremony. My brother and I stayed until 12am... so we scored the full 24 hours on the Disneyland property. We watched the dedication speech in Town Square. We signed the guest book and scored take-home cupcakes. (We tried to save them forever in the freezer... but they got crushed on the ride home)
