    Its that time again.. Bats Day in the Fun Park(tm) is nearly among us.. 2 months to go to go buy your black clothing.. etc.. for more Info.. click on the banner below..


    I have to say I have gone each year to this event.. and its alot of fun.. meeting new people.. etc...

    also.. the shock value aint bad.

    damn it, damn it, damn it. that would have to be the weekend of our annual meeting where it is mandatory that everyone go and its all weekend ,long. i got to skip it last year but had to have a baby to do that. ever so slight chance i have sunday off, i really hope so.

    I'm definitely going. The DD and I love goth stuff, and I overheard a CM saying that regular guests get freaked out and leave on Bat's Day, so it's less crowded.

    Question: Considering the reported problems that Sadako's friend had for dressing like a "character" because she was in black, are there any problems on "Bat Day" with people dressed... well, like you're dressed?

    There is a fine line that needs to be toed.. Ie: Capes are not allowed.. but..

    You can dress to impress, but keep in mind that it may be very hot that day. From our previous trips we found out that Disney will not allow capes or fishnet stocking, on guys, to be worn into the park. You can try to wear them in, but keep in mind that you may be asked to take them off and place them back in you car. One of the main reasons that there is a dress code is due to the fact that Disney does not want anyone from the regular visitors mistaken any of us as one of their characters or cast members.

    We went on Bats Day last year to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. His parents who are from Nebraska were with us and let me just say they are very negative about California people in general (which is kind of hurtful for me since I'm a native Californian) and I was inwardly laughing all day long at their discomfort as they took in all the people decked out in their black attire.

    I'm sure they had stories to tell when they got home.

    Hey! We all look pretty good in that pic!

    You can't tell from the sign I'm holding, but since we were the group that broke 700, we altered the sign to say Pat Robertson's 700n CLub. hehehe.
