Wink AP Benefits: Unlimited FPs, Exclusive Park Entrances....

I've afraid I've been thinking...(a dangerous pastime, I know) that DL doesn't appreciate its APs enough. What do you think about new AP benefits? (I know an AP lounge has already been mentioned.) What about unlimited FPs, like the kind you could get when you booked vacations through AAA (I think that to get them now you have to stay at a DLR hotel.) Or an exclusive park entrance. Designate one turnstile in each park just for APs (however, that might get a little confusing. Most guests are so stupid that they might get in the wrong line, throw a hissy fit, etc.) What do you think, don't we APs deserve more???

OK, I'll bite. I think this kind of thing might work if they made having an AP a bit more exclusive. There are just soooo many AP's that they really can't do any events like they used to.

Personally, I would be willing to pay more for an AP if they were to:

    1. eliminate the cheap-o AP's- just have Deluxe or Premium
    2. allow for a payment schedule
    3. bring back AP pre-view events & add some of the other extras you mentioned above.

(edit: I also don't think they should block-out DCA for Deluxe AP's.)

Kind of defeats the purpose of fastpass, doesn't it? I mean if fastpass is to help those that are only here for a short time see everything without waiting forever (so they can have more time to spend in shops and restaurants), then why have APs take up all the fastpass tickets?

They always say on busy days, "consider buying an annual pass so that you can come back and see the attractions in more than just one day."

    Sorry, I disagree.

Oh, and I heard that APs spread disease and kick castmembers in the ankles also. Just kidding.

I'm have a premium AP and i don't feel the need to have disnye or the CM's appreciate me. I don't understand that mindset. I chose to purchase the pass...nobody twisted my arm and i appreciate it was available...everything beyond that is gravey...

I have a premium AP and the only thing I think it should be a little cheaper. Disney doesnt owe me anything. If anything I pick up a few pieces of trash at the park just to keep it clean. I have been going for 34 years and they have been 34 magical years.

I hear this all the time from a few (very few, but it's out there) select people.
But on a thread about why CM's quit,
The CM have not mentioned anything about AP's being rude (not a thing....and the thread even ask for them to mention it if it happens)
Infact many of them have stated that AP are not the problem/reason for quitting.
So why is there this general idea/comment that AP are rude?
I really doubt it's the hardcore Disney fan AP that is rude.
And if it is, Shame on you.
Infact same on anyone being rude at Disneyland (guest or CM).

    As far as benefits.
I like the parties. We pay for them. I'm not expecting anything free.
I do like the exculsive items and if Disney is smart, they'll keep doing them (of course we pay for the exclusive items)

I'm not an AP yet, however I will be when I come back in August. The only thing I think would be nice is like pixie chick said, they should bring back AP previews/events or something of that nature. I have year passes for our zoo and science centers here and they both do events for members. As for not feeling appreciated, AP's were not created to make those guests better than the regular ticket wielding tourist, rather you get what you pay for, and that's the right to visit whenever you want (or at least non-blackout dates)
Stalking is when two people go for a long romantic walk together but only one of them knows about it.

AP's don't need special treatment. If anything I think they should be the one group who shouldn't be allowed to use the FP system. They have more time to go to the parks and ride the rides compared to out of towners. Or maybe have it so only the premium passes get to use the FP feature.

Re: AP Benefits: Unlimited FPs, Exclusive Park Entrances....

Do a few AP folks act rude in the parks? Sure, probably so. Just like there are a few bad apples coming for the brief visit from outside the local area.

I'm pretty happy with the AP benefits I get. I live on the other coast from DL, so I'm not there every week, but I do enjoy the benefits that I get when I visit. AP previews of some things would be nice, but I don't need a special entrance or a big FP advantage.
Warning: Portions of this attraction are intense and may not be appropriate for younger children.
