Will Sailing Ship Columbia Remain The Black Pearl?

Anyone got any insider scoop as to whether or not the ship will remain the Black Pearl? Now that the POTCMC premiere is over and done, I hope they leave it for nostalgic purposes even if it is for a little while!

Nope. It is all coming down. You can't do the Hook and Pan stunts for Fantasmic with those tatered sails in the rigging.

It needs to be ready for Wednesday's Fantasmic, so it has to return to being the Columbia.....

Most of the "change" was just black cloth covering the red paint anyway, so hardly a permanent type of change.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

I saw the ship up close yesterday and it was evident it was a very temporary change. It looked like black tape, not applied very well, was along the side. The backside of the ship was red and looks as it always has.
One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching.

As much as I like the Black Pearl look, I still like the look of the Columbia more.

i was at the park today and all things related to the black pearl makeover were removed from the columbia already!

not afraid got some good up close photos of the made over ship yesterday... fom what we saw, it looks like they just pasted black contact paper on the sides of the ship... still looked good tho... it would have been neat to have around for awhile...

Re: Will Sailing Ship Columbia Remain The Black Pearl?

Thanks for making this question a separate post.

I really would like to see the Black Pearl remain for the summer.
So sorry to hear that it won't be staying longer!!! It looks
terrific on the pics. Maybe they could plan on doing this
    for summer, next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, with the Black Pearl showing on the Rivers of America,
(at least for a real short time) what is the REAL reason it
    didn't show on the attraction?!?!?!?!??!
