As a Disneyland fan I don't have more than half a dozen visits under my belt. I went it April and am ready to go back. My husband thinks I'm nuts as he is not a fan, so, how often and how many before nonfans think you've lost it?
HA! We have annual passes and go at least once a week. AT LEAST. I am ready to go anytime it is mentioned. Sometimes we go only for a few hours, or just to get coffees and walk around. Or, like this week, just to get on one ride (POTC).
We live in Portland, OR, and have been able to go to DL for two extended trips per year for the last 3 years. Some of our friends and family don't necessarily understand why we love to visit this frequently - but that's ok, because we understand the magic of visiting DL! I agree with SusanJ2- there is no such thing as too much DL!
Well I can't tell you how that makes me feel better. I live in Seattle now but grew up in Pasadena. I actually went to DL in '59 as a one month old. My youth memories basically revolve around DL. My fascination with it didn't come to fruition until this year. I was a closet disneyland freak and now I've come out it but it's amazing how many around me do not understand it.
With the AP this year, I'm hoping I'll travel to DL at least 5-6 times this year if not a couple more. I live on the East Coast, so it's not exactly like driving down the interstate to get there. In the past I've been a WDW AP holder since it's closer, I worked there and still have lots of friends in the area. This year I did a DL AP since I planned to be there at least twice and financially it made sense to just go with the AP and try to visit a few more times.
Warning: Portions of this attraction are intense and may not be appropriate for younger children.
We are about 20 miles away and go once a week--sometimes more. I have a lot of friends with APs who only go once a month, so I don't really advertise the fact that we go so much. It's just SO MUCH FUN!
We used to live in Seattle and go on extended vacations to DL 2 - 3 times per year. My husband decided that it would cost us less to just move to CA and go as often as we'd like. So in April we moved from WA to CA. Now we go once a week.
We go about once a month. If we lived closer we'd go more. My son is only 15 months old and has been about 17 times. His first trip was at 10 days. People thought we were crazy but we just had to have that picture with pooh bear to go in the pooh bear nursery. I have to agree with SusanJ2, no such thing as too much Disneyland.
Sydney, Australia ... where there is no Magic Kingdom :(
Re: How often are DisneyLand fans going to DL?
Once every 18 years
(This will cease to be funny eventually, although I wonder if my responses ever were...)
I'm as fan as fan can be, but time and distance (and dollars) keep me away from my beloved place of Disney. I am going to another DL this year, but I guess 'every two years' is as close to reality as I'm gong to get for the foreseeable future.
