    Re: Stuck in Disney

Well periodically they came on the speaker and said that there was a delay. Granted that was the longest delay I ever experienced. And no there was no other compensation. I could have gone to City Hall and complained and probably gotten a better compensation but I really don't like pressing buttons and making a big deal out of things. It sucked, I am permenatly damaged when it comes to that song. But who cares I was at Disney.

My son and I got stuck on Mr Toad, right at the entrance to Hell. Luckily the air shaft above us was open, that was the only thing keeping it bearable. There was a young girl with her brother stuck behind us and she was freaking out in the dark. I was able to talk to her and keep her calm. It took them aobut 20 mins or so to escort us out.

For the winnie the pooh thing there was an announcement, then a CM walked by and told us to sit tight since they had to get the people further in out first. No compensation for that since it wasn't that big a deal... though my sister and I did take pictures of each other inside the moment our feet hit the floor.

Once I was almost to the loading area of space mountain when it broke down. People were evacuated and everyone being brought out AND the people in the line got fastpasses to go later.

A couple of years ago we were stuck on the Grizzly ride at DCA, right at the top of the lift...we were up there for about 25 mins, and it got pretty hot sitting in the sun (thankfully it was april)... there was a CM up there letting us know it would only be a few more minutes, etc.

I did ask him if we could get margaritas brought up from the wharf if we were going to be stuck a long time...he just laughed. But seriously, I would have insisted on water or something if we had been stuck for a longer time in the sun!

We did get passes to ride it later.

yeah about a half an hour into our wait there was an announcement over the intercom saying that they were experiencing technical difficulties. we got that same update a couple of times, when a cast member that walked past our car got asked if they can just let us out he said they couldnt let us walk through because we would get hurt...he was in danger of getting hurt...we were disgrunteled!!

Tonight I was stuck on Pirates right at... I mean RIGHT at... the first drop. A cast member came out, opened a panel in the door, pushed some buttons, and we FINALLY dropped, but it took a while.

But the worst was being stuck in the attic in the Haunted Mansion in 1985 for over 30 minutes.

Next time, bring your Ipod mp3 device and listen to some tunes while your friend or family gets stuck with the horror that is repeated loop ride tunes for an extended amount of time.

I've never been stuck on a ride in DL...but last summer in DLP when i was on space mountain with my brother it stopped for a second and started jolting from side to side...i thought this was all part of the ride but then the music stopped and all the lights turned on...CM's came up with harness' and we all got off ...we got FP's to go on it again but the effects were ruined because i saw how the projections were done and i saw the loops

Got stuck on the Matterhorn once. That was cool. We were evacuated fairly quickly. Got to walk along waterfalls then down secret passages into the mountain.

Also was stopped on Rocket Rods. The CM figured out it was our actual vehicle that had the issue. When we got back to the station, we tried to tell the CM that, but he just nodded then sent it around again to get stuck once more.

Another time on Rocket Rods my seatbelt flew off durring the first launch. My mom still wishes I had let myself fall out over the autopia or something so we might have anual passes for life.

As for me, my worst experience was being stuck on POTC for a half hour during the battleship scene....30 minutes of blast ye lilly livered bilge rats, etc....

I had a friend who had a truly harrowing experience...trapped in a skyway bucket during a thunder/lightning storm...they were up there for about two hours before being taken down by ladders....I get the willies just thinking about that one...

    Re: Stuck in Disney

The only time I ahve been stuck on a ride for more than a couple minutes was in Space Mountain. It was back in 1999, we were in line and they stopped the ride and told us that they were having technical difficulties and that they weren't sure how long it would take so we could leave or wait in line for an undisclosed amount of time. My friends and I were right about to get on, inside on the ramp, so we decided to sit down and wait it out. About 10 minutes later we got on the ride. Everything was going well until the ride just stopped. The music was still going for a minute but then that stopped too. Eventually there was some sort of announcement that the ride was (again) experiencing technical difficulties. Shortly after that the lights came on! I have a couple pictures stashed away someplace of this too. I was almost afraid to open my eyes and look at it LOL. After about 5 minutes a CM showed up and pushed our car so it would coast down the rest of the way on its own. That was scary/fun being stuck on that ride.

    Re: Stuck in Disney

We got stuck on Alice in Wonderland once. It had been raining off an on so they were shutting the ride down alot (cause evidently that last hill outside gets too slippery). We sat in our little car right by the cards marching around for about 15 minutes or so. It was kinda fun though because my parents and family were in the car in front of us but we couldn't see them because they were around a corner. We kept talking to them to see what they could see happening. They got evacuated first then us. It was cool to walk thru the backside. We got free front of the line passes for one fantasyland ride so we picked Peter Pan. (and considering the line was like an hour long I think we got a good deal!)

I was also stuck on iasw over a decade ago. But it was just about 30 minutes or so
(near the Tower Bridge). Then it got stuck right after the postcards. We waited there
another 30 minutes and was let off by CMs at that point.

Yes, "it" stuck in my head for a l-o-n-g time.
