    Re: Stuck in Disney

We've been stuck on the people mover, splash, Indy and Space Mountain. Each time, we were quickly escorted off the ride and each time, we loved the experience--especially space. Being pushed through to the end of the ride was awesome and then getting to ride it again without getting out was pretty darn special. I remember with Indy, Splash, and Space there were recordings telling us to remain seated, but I don't remember about the people mover because it was soooo long ago.

Don't understand the long delays--we were always quickly attended to.

It does strike me as very odd that they wouldn't evacuate everyone after something like 15 minutes of the ride being down. Someone here at MC has got to know. What's up with that? Why on earth would they leave people sitting in IASW boats for several hours?

    Re: Stuck in Disney

I got stuck by the three singing pirates and the donkey in PotC on Monday for about 20-30 minutes. Luckily we had the Boat of Awesome, and we had fun with it. We sang along with Yo Ho, took pictures, and joked around with the CM who came out with a flashlight to check in with everyone. They finally got it moving - I only wish they'd given us the chance to go around again in return!

I got stuck just 20 feet before the unload area on Splash once for around 20 minutes. It was right under that bridge, so we couldn't have climbed out if we tried. I got a long shoulder massage while we waited, though, so I'm not complaining.

During a College Program Cast Member party at WDW, I also got stuck for about a half hour once on WDW's Splash, right at the top of the first drop. They turned on all the work lights. We joked around, took lots of flash photos, and had fun with it. Once again, we didn't get walked out - they finally got it going.

Three big breakdowns, and I have yet to get walked off - I'm disappointed!

I was once stuck on the sun wheel in the DCA at the very, tip top, none-swing car. After the first 20 minutes, I started to think to myself..... "My I am very high up here.... How do they get people down?"

First of all, how and why were you stuck for 3 hours? Why didn't they take the guests off???

I've only been stuck on the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride - just for about 5 or 10 min. each. (If I've gotten stuck on any other ride, I just don't remember...) Oh wait, I did get stuck for a few minutes on Monsters Inc. in DCA; but, that was bc/ we were some of the first people to ride it during a soft opening in Dec. 2005. Oh, and I think I got stuck in the Sun Wheel for a few minutes also - kinda creepy......

Call me crazy, but I would love to get stuck on more rides!!! I'd like to get stuck on Indy when you cross the shaky bridge, or anytime during Splash Mountian. Actually, getting stuck in the heffalump and woozle room in Pooh actually sounds pretty fun too!

    GRR twice!

once on the lift hill for like 15 mins(we got blank FPs once they walked us down the stairs

once at the edge of the last waterfall (45 mins of waiting for ride to completely empty out of water, thus revealing cool walkway along river route, into the mountain, down the stairs n out to DCA (free tickets for almost everyone stranded that instance on GRR)

I don't know why we were stuck and how but for some reason we were there for 3 hours listening to that song over and over again. I was seriously ready to have a massive homocide/suicide thing going on...

Oh, you're not crazy at all! I would love to get stuck on more rides as well. A friend of mine got evacuated from Indy, right before the boulder, and he said that with all the lights on, it looked just like a regular room. Sometimes I'm tempted to bring a flashlight with me on rides just to see what everything looks like. I would never actually do it though.

Generally, they will work for about 20 minutes to recycle the ride before shutting it down and evacuating. Evac'ing can take 30-45 minutes. In the case of POTC, there are 900 guests at any one time underground that must be moved forward, rearranged, and walked out thru back areas. They will try everything else before evacuation starts. But, 3 hours in IASW is wayyyyy too long.
If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.

Probably that durned golf ball. When it gets loose, there's no stopping it, and it can really wreak havoc in that enclosed space.

I would love that because you could get many cool artistic pictures in blacklit areas like this. I have some awesome ones from HM at Christmas time when the buggies were going really slow.
