Great ideas! Maybe they could put in a motion simulator (like Star Tours) but it's like you're racing with Lightning McQueen. Their could be crashes. We could wipe out! Sharp turns! It would be awesome. And it would all be animated. maybe even 3-D!

another idea: Their should be a movie that could be on that you could watch except in the cars from Cars! Like a drive-in movie with food!

In there it shows how Walt layered the Frontierland so that the Wilderness Train, Stage Coach and Mule Ride were on three different levels. They all saw each other, but did not come in contact. Also notice how Tomorrowland had three levels, the Monorail, Peoplemover, and then the Subs. (Notice how Walt worked in threes!) Laying rides not only uses space more efficiently but it also adds visual appeal. DCA needs more visual excitement, but the designers only laid out things two dimensionally. Very few things are set above or below to look at. Because of that DCA feels very FLAT!
I didn't conciously realize this Jiminy. Fascinating how Walt added depth to each of the lands in Disneyland through layering. What an important technique for the designers of DCA to have either discarded, or forgotten altogether. DCA's flatness gives it kind of a commonplace carnival feel.

It's DISNEY'S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE, not Pixarland.

Radiator Springs isn't in California lol....

Oh well, they need to drop the whole "California" useless theme anyway... this'd be a nice way to do it!

Mullholland Madness is an "Off the Shelf" wilde mouse coaster ... meaning it's not an original design AT ALL. You can find the same ride in many parks across the country.

To the ideas ... they sound AWESOME!!! I really think you've got something there.

Have you been to Sci-Fi Drive in at MGM? Almost same concept. I always eat there because of the atmosphere.

Isn't Route 66 in California? Or is my worthless British intelligence, well, worthless?

Route 66 went from Los Angeles, California to Chicago, Illinois.

Radiator Springs does NOT seem to be in California. For one thing, they show a map at the end which places it out farther than California. Also, I don't know why Lightning McQueen would talk about having to get to California to the residents of Radiator Springs if he was already in California.

The Disney's California Adventure theme simply HAS to go. It'd redundent and bland. Something on the order of Disney-Pixar Studios would relate more to what it is becoming. Plus, this them would be much more of a national and multi-national draw. After all, California is where Disney and it's Pixar division each make their movies, by and large.

Re: Radiator Springs Idea in DCA

Radiator Springs, itself, should probably not be represented in D.C.A. for the reasons stated above. However, several elements from "Cars" do relate to D.C.A.'s subject matter.

The fictional elements need to support, though, the factual nature of the park without overtaking the focus of the experience.

Nice idea but also in this Meet N Greet with the CARS characters use the same effects as Knotts Ghost Town Prisoner where you can "talk" to the characters!

Also re-theme Route 66 to Radiator Springs... If they remove Golden Dreams and place it in the front as was romured before there would be room for a CARS attraction. Also re-theme MM as mentioned ealier to go a long with the theming. Great ideas everyone!!!

I don't like Morrigoon's idea of moving Autopia out of Disneyland, but the rest sounds good.

Other than Radiator Springs not being in California.

Of course, last I checked, Monstropolis wasn't either.

But... but... some of the closet doors open to California. Hooray for (barely) keeping with the theme!
