Cars Meet and Greet at the Cozy Cones: Have each car "spending the night" in a different cone. When it's time for the meet, roll up the garage door of the character's assigned cone, the character rolls out for the meet and greet, and then would roll back into the cone afterwards.

Radiator Springs does NOT seem to be in California. For one thing, they show a map at the end which places it out farther than California. Also, I don't know why Lightning McQueen would talk about having to get to California to the residents of Radiator Springs if he was already in California.
agree, Radiator Springs is most likely in Arizona, but not too far from the border, somewhere just east of Needles I'm guessing.

I personally don't care if radiator springs doesn't perfectly fit with a California theme... the park is going to change it's name pretty soon anyway, right?

When I watched the movie the scene that made me think "Theme Park" the most was when twilight settled over Radiator Springs after it was regenerated and all the neon lights lit up and the music started. I'd LOVE to see a recreation of that at DCA. It's beauty would rival just about anything Disney theme parks have to offer.

I doubt they would rip out a bug's land, but the ideas are good.

I think they will eventually one day, anyway.
Just the other day I was looking at that.
Did Disney just not buy that corner or the land
or did they sell it...and why?
It just seems so odd to have that whole area and then you have this little sliver of land that isn't Disney.
The Gas Station is gone, so 7-Eleven can just move to that corner
and the hotel....well, there is other land still open.

Also notice how Tomorrowland had three levels, the Monorail, Peoplemover, and then the Subs. (Notice how Walt worked in threes!) Laying rides not only uses space more efficiently but it also adds visual appeal. DCA needs more visual excitement, but the designers only laid out things two dimensionally. Very few things are set above or below to look at. Because of that DCA feels very FLAT!
    Very good points.
    But very right.
    Never really thought about it
    That's what DCA is missing

To the ideas ... they sound AWESOME!!! I really think you've got something there.
    If not mistaken,
most or all the pier rides are off the shelf.
In the case of the Zinger..I think they just added the orange (what an ugly and ride and a total waste).
Calif. Screamer is off the shelf.
Buying off the shelf allowed them to save money and not have the imagineers involved.
Remember...DCA is built from the same people that build the hotels.
I think two or three rides in DCA are actually built by the Imagineers.

'A Bugs Land' has always made me wonder. of ALL of the Disney/Pixar films, "A Bugs life" has to be the least popular yet it has its own land.

I suppose that is what makes DCA the brilliant success that it is.

Yeah, then what would you do with Grizzley River Run and its peak, Paradise Pier, and "it's a bug's land?" And knowing Disney, they will not destroy any of it.

You guys just have to deal with the California theme. If Disney got their heads on straight with this damn park, the theme could be energetic, fun, and entertaining.

If they changed all the bugs out for cars
    I think it would work
Cars never go out of style and it's a kid area.
If you have girl and boy cars...they kids will be happy.
The water area would be a carwash...how cool of a water area would that be...you just might find the 'adults' in there playing too.
Bugs Life movie just dates itself.
With putting the cars in, just try limit some of the movie reference so it doesn't date itself either.

    As I posted before
    you can re-theme bugs land
And I think MOST people are actually fine w/ the Hollywood Area, Grizzly area and the Condor Flats (w/ some better landscaping ideas)
I think MOST people want a change in all the other areas (espec. the pier area)

And like I said, how is Radiator Springs (like "a bug's land") even related to California at all?

I guess it could work since it is like a deserted town, but still, I would much rather see a beautiful-looking San Francisco area come around and a much improved Pier area before anything else happens.

DCA isn't even ready for new stuff yet - they still need to fix up all the screw-ups - and there are still a lot of them.

I'm not saying do the movie
but agree w/ a cars idea
Calf. does have cars and lots of traffic.
What do Bugs have to do w/ Calif.....nothing (except there are bugs in CA).
I think cars woud be better than bugs.

And there are lots of screw ups.... Bugs being one
    The pier being the biggest.
I not saying new things (totally)
just improving the park so it's better...which in the long run, the answer may have be new things to replace the crap that was put there in the first place.
Why a CA theme was picked, I'll never know.
If you're in CA (live or visiting) why would you pay to see things of CA that you can mostly do for free?
They should have picked a def. destination...people who can't travel all over the world, would be more willing to go to a park that is different from that states setting.
Why not each land being something int'l (like epcot)...but instead there would actually be very cool rides, unlike Epcot.

Eisner wanted to attract tourists just to Disneyland, not to the other areas of California. More tourists, more money.

But since we are stuck with the CA theme, we might as well try to make some use of it. CA, like I have said before, has the potential to be a GREAT theme - it just is that Disney has not used it well yet.
