 | Pirates of the Caribbean 40th Anniversary Next Year As I was riding PotC today, I noticed that the plaque and fountain in the queue celebrates the 30th anniversary of this fantastic ride. Not only will next year bring the release of another movie in the trilogy, but will be the 40th Anniversary of the opening of the ride itself. How should Disneyland recognize this major anniversary? Should there be another plaque? If so, where and what sort? What else might be done? |

I'd like to see the older AA's get the modern treatment, keep the faces and personalities unchanged, but update them to reflect the incredible realism of Jack Sparrow. My goodness, the movements are so fluid on these new AA's, they move ever so slightly and then suddenly they move quickly. I think Lucky the Dinosaur kind of gave us a glimpse into just how shockingly realistic animatronics are today. That little dino was so lovable, he was real as far as I was concerned...same thing with Push, although he's not as technologically advanced. It's just that Disney knows how to add life to even the most mundane things, like trashcans, lol. |
