What is your favorite DL trinket?

Can you remember your favorite souviner that you've bought while in the parks? Is there one that you're saving up to get?

    I'll start...

I bought these awesome little music boxes at DL when we were honeymooning. They're perfect and tiny and play Disney songsfrom Peter Pan and Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast. I treasure them!

As for a "wanted" souvineer, it's not really for me, but my Hubby wants one of these super rad Indiana Jones Jackets... but they're like $300.. maybe later. :0)

Trinket....my collection of charms that hang from my purse, all animals of course! Collectibles, now that would be another thread completely!

It's not so much a trinket.... but my Hat Box Ghost is one of my most prized possessions.

And to think I got him on sale for only $89. What a steal!

    My Haunted Mansion Hoody.

I like it, even though it's faded now.. and the zipper is broken.

Re: What is your favorite DL trinket?

When I was a kid, my favorite trinket was a blue "floatie" pen (you know - the kind where you turn it upside down, and something moves); mine had a picture of Sleeping Beauty Castle with the fireworks going off overhead, and the "floatie" was a picture of Tinkerbell, setting off the fireworks. I've still got it in a keepsake box somewhere, over 20 years later...

The other one that I miss is the old style of pirate swords they used to sell at the Pieces of Eight - not the silver blade style they have now, but the old, pointy white-bladed "rapier" style they used to have with the fake "jewel" in the hilt. My little brother and I used to love those when we were kids...

If you want to talk about cheaper "trinket" stuff that's more valuable today, I still have a complete master set of the 30th Anniversary Gift Giver Extraordinare pins that I started collecting on my very first trip to DL, when I was 8 years old - I say "master" set because it even includes the rare "Mickey Drum" title pin and all the recalled land variants, including all 3 versions of the New Orleans Square pin. I definately love that set!

Unfortunately, my favorite souvenir is no longer available: The "pieces of eight" pirate coins from the custom stamping machine. I have this naive hope that Disney hasn't discarded the machine, and will someday repair it and put it back in the Pieces of Eight store in NOS.

Re: What is your favorite DL trinket?

As for favorite trinkets, I used to buy the small porcelain figurines to keep in my curio case. I had so many of them, but I think they were sold at a garage sale.

My favorite collectibles that I'm saving for are the Dave Avanzino shadowboxes.
