Hey, that's pretty darn cool! Now if they can just engineer the sky to look like that every day, it will truly be Disney magic! Glad you had the camera handy at that moment. I've never seen it match up like that.
Warning: Portions of this attraction are intense and may not be appropriate for younger children.
Nice shot - looks like a beautiful day!
Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!
Awsome shot!!
Too bad up close that paint is in pretty shabby shape.
Who knew the sky could get that color in Anaheim?
And....I hope you kept your cool in the...what was it? 101 degree heat?![]()

Now it really looks like you can walk all the way through!
I always think it's funny how every single positive message thread has to have a post such as yours, just to point out something bad.Originally Posted by DisneyMickey

You know what? We were surprised (pleasantly) at how NOT crowded it was in Dland all day. I mean the lines weren't TOO terrible. Not that we were riding anything since we were chasing Dsage all day, but we noticed line lengths and noticed they could have been worse.
BUT, we got there right before 8am and they made us park ON TOP of Mickey and Friends. WTF!!! None of us have EVER seen them start loading the parking structure from the TOP!!! We found it very bizaare!
This may be one of those Disney tales, but they altered the sky soon after the opening of DCA. The sky WAS matched perfectly, and birds were flying into it. They made it more blue to give it some contrast. Dead birds is not real "Disney" ya know.
one day i saw it an it was a really rainy day and i saw the back drop it was pretty funny but when i got up close i couldnt see the clouds so it was all goood!!!!! yeaaaa
that looks so cool!!

Maybe if that building was slanted back and the paint replace with a really big mirror the illusion would work much better. But then you get alot of problems with reflecting the really close buildings and cutting off clouds. Or even reflecting into the eyes of an aircraft pilot and cause a crash?
Thats a nice picture. I have bad enough vision that without my contacts I thought it was real when i first saw it.
My campus elevator smells like burned hair and won't drop faster than the pull of gravity, no matter how much I scream.
We noticed this too. I have a theory - since the weather's been so hot, they now fill the roof first because it's not that hot yet and people will complain less than if they were made to park on the roof at midday.BUT, we got there right before 8am and they made us park ON TOP of Mickey and Friends. WTF!!! None of us have EVER seen them start loading the parking structure from the TOP!!! We found it very bizaare!

i think we got there shortly after you did (8:30) and it was the 2nd time recently they stuck me up there so early. and when we left at 3:30 it looked as if they hadnt even filled the second slot on most rows.Originally Posted by Olympicnut
and yes, the corwds were quite low, i had been thinking saturday would be the less crowded day since a lot of people were using it as a traveling day and i was happy to be right! if it hadnt been soo hot and hubby hadnt been feeling ill we would have stayed a lot longer!!
