Agreed, the movie never really did get the recognition it deserved. I gotta admit, I didn't like it when it first came out, but like every single Mike Myers film, it starts to grow on you after a while. I've never liked any of Mike Myer's films the first time I saw them...but after the 2nd and 3rd viewing, I really start to warm up to them and eventually they almost always become some of my favorite movies of all time.

I'll be honest,....I've seen better avatars, mine for instance. I didn't just take a random photo and post it, oh no. I watched the trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest frame by frame until I found just the right image. I then took a screen cap and put it into photoshop. I took the screen cap and then cropped it down to what I wanted. The final product is my avatar, not to mention the resizing process. Don't even get me started about my sig. It's a long and rigorous process that, if done correctly, results in a high quality avatar.

...I Live Traced the "Pirates of the Caribbean" logo in Adobe Illustrator from a photo I took of one of the new banners advertising the new POTC exhibit at the Disney Gallery, took the logo into Photoshop, scanned the new park map announcing the re-opened POTC, cropped, resized, and edited the levels on the image. Added a drop shadow on the POTC logo, added my username, added a drop shadow to it... yeah... well.. you get it..

Why does Main Street need refurbishment? It's a classic and hasn't changed since 1955.

Main street, frontierland and fantasyland (in my opinion) should NEVER get a refurb. Those lands look the closest lke hey did on opening day.

Main Street actually HAS changed alot since 1955. Don't be fooled by the Architecture. the colors are almost completely different, some better, some worse, but the real difference is the betrayal of the theme from true 1890s small town feel with themed stores, to the "Disney Malls" we have today.

The 1950's version had a Piano Store, Tobacco shop, real Penny Arcade, Pen Shop, Lingerie store, Lock and Key shop, Victorian pharmacy, Real Estate office, Police Station, a much more themed Market House, flower market, Sunshine Bakery, and much more. horse drawn surreys and fire wagon, keystone kop security and all kinds of live talent. Even a mannequin of an old lady on the porch. Look at the early viewmaster reels to get a feel for it. It was more of a living museum. DLP tries to recreate that but falls short due to the realities of making money with every square foot.

No wonder Walt loved it, but it has died a death of 1000 cuts.
