    Orange/Purple MIA

Has anyone noticed that the orange and purple trains on California Screamin' haven't been in service ever since that accident last year? I saw a picture a few months ago where they were taken apart and backstage behind Critter Country (possibly being re-painted). I am just wondering if maybe they keep them out of service because they were involved in the accident? Anyone know why or noticed this also?

And a little off-topic, they had the music wokring well in 3 out of the 4 operating trains today.

    NOOOOOO!

Please leave the yellow train as the designated non-lame soundtrack train (I LOVE Disney music but the music for Screamin' is pretty bad.)

I LOVE being able to ride Screamin' without the music.

If only a couple of the trains on Space Mountain were "muted" too I'd be an even happier camper.

We never even notice if we have music or not until we're climbing that second lift hill and things get quiet. Doesn't make any difference to me one way or another, I just love that coaster.

Well, train #2 for Big Thuner Mountain Railroad has not been in operating since the fatal accident. I think that train has been retired. However, I think they just use the passenger cars and have the locomotive in storage.

I correct myself. I saw a few a pictures over on MouseTimes and they did have the orange train out. It must have been taken off the track before I got to DCA.

And yes, the yellow did have music working, but it was skipping around.

On Saturday (july 1) there were running the Orange train on the track.
However, no one rode in it. All the seats had an out of order type of sign on them.

So maybe they are now testing it so they can put it back into operation. Interesting to know. Thanks for the bit of info.

EDIT- I just found this picture:
    http://www.mousetimes.com/dlrpictori...0(custom).html

I was there yesterday(the day of this pictorial). They must have taken orange train out of service before I got to DCA.

    your welcome.
but now that I think about it...I think it was gone Sunday (7/2). I only rode once and it was really hot, so I didn't pay attention that well.
