    In that case, I bid $10,001. j/k :P

I wonder which Imagineer you get to talk to. It makes a difference whether you talk to Tony Baxter or the nameless new guy they just hired last year. I like the Fantasmic thing the best, that would be so cool to be in the show. Talk about a Disneyland memory that would last forever.

here is a description of the Fantasmic guest experience item

After lunch for 10 at the Blue Bayou Restaurant in the heart of New Orleans Square, one special member of your party will assist in entertaining our Guests by having the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform as a Pirate aboard the Sailing Ship Columbia during the Fantasmic! live spectacular. The other nine friends will have the pleasure of cheering him or her on from the Fantasmic! premium viewing area along the Rivers of America.

The auction is now open!!! Here are the different item descriptions...

    Imagineer Boat Ride
You and three (3) guests will start your day with a private boat tour of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland® Park with a Walt Disney Imagineer — before the attraction even opens to Park Guests. Throughout the tour you'll gain valuable insight into the history of the attraction, how the scenes were created (and the stories behind them), and get the lowdown on the attraction's recent additions.

After an eventful day in the Park (you'll have plenty of ground to cover with your Disneyland® Resort Park Hopper tickets), you and your guests will enjoy dinner at the Blue Bayou Restaurant in the heart of New Orleans Square. Be sure to save room for dessert, as you'll all be escorted to The Disney Gallery to watch the Fantasmic! spectacular and enjoy delectable desserts high atop New Orleans Square. Holding true to the theme of the experience, your day will be capped off with a treasure chest overflowing with pirate booty, valued at approximately $400.

    Jason Surrell Tour
You and three (3) guests will start your day with a private boat tour of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland® Park — before the attraction even opens to Park Guests. You'll be accompanied on the tour by Jason Surrell, a Walt Disney Imagineer and author of Pirates of the Caribbean: From the Magic Kingdom to the Movies, who'll hand off a signed copy of his book. Throughout the tour you'll gain valuable insight into the history of the attraction, how the scenes were created (and the stories behind them), and get the lowdown on the attraction's recent additions.

Have a Boat in the Ride Named After You!
Be immortalized by having your name appear in a Disneyland® Park attraction! The team at Walt Disney Imagineering, Disney's creative design organization responsible for the creation of the attractions, will name the shrimp boat near the old bayou shack on the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction after you — ensuring that your name will be part of the attraction for years to come.

And that's just for starters: After an eventful day in the Park with three (3) guests (you'll have plenty of ground to cover with your Disneyland® Resort Park Hopper tickets), you and your guests will enjoy dinner at the Blue Bayou Restaurant in the heart of New Orleans Square. Have a Pirates Barrel Named After You
Be immortalized by having your name appear in a Disneyland® Park attraction! The team at Walt Disney Imagineering, Disney's creative design organization responsible for the creation of the attractions, will incorporate your name onto a barrel where a precocious goat stands in the chase scene on the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction — ensuring that your name will be part of the attraction for years to come.

I want to do them all! Sounds like a lot of fun. I wonder if the gf can be convinced we should do this rather than buy a house...
Warning: Portions of this attraction are intense and may not be appropriate for younger children.

Would love to spend a trip through Pirates with Jason Surrell. That you're you're insure you're not just riding through with the newest hire at WDI.

Now if only I had that much money to spend on a Disney Auction...hmm...

    Re: Pirates Charity Auction

The Imagineer boat ride would be a lot more fun if they could stop the boat at all the scenes and you could get out and walk around everywhere like Johnny Depp did. I still like the Fantasmic performance the best. I'd be so nervous performing in front of that many people with a huge spotlight on the boat. I mean, they'd most likely just have you stand there and wave a sword around or something, but it'd be insane to have that many people watching. I'm kind of more interested in seeing behind the scenes and being on the other side of the show...seeing what it looks like from the actor's perspective. You could get a very unique perspective of the pirate ship scene with that auction too.

I remember my 15 minutes of fame, winning an autographed baseball presented to me in Qualcomm Stadium right before the Padres game began. It was so weird to have 30,000 people surrounding you with a camera broadcasting to the jumbo screen. Believe me, it's a LOT different being the spectacle rather than spectator...the view and the perspective you get make it a TOTALLY different ballgame (no pun intended). These types of things, where you have a huge audience are always much different than you'd think they would be when you are on the other side.

I'm confused about this Fantasmic thing, I thought they were suppose to pay you for working there. If this auction thing works, I fully expect new auctions to go up with titles like "Pick up trash for a day" or "Point to parking spots, an experience you'll never forget!"

    Re: Pirates Charity Auction

The problem with naming stuff in rides is that it has to be small enough to not affect the attraction but large enough for people to actually notice it. I'd rather name the shrimp boat than the barrel. If I won I'd name it "Jenny" like in Forrest Gump...I guess that's why I'm not able to win. Unfortunately, I'm serious too, I really would've named it Jenny as an inside joke that only I would know about, lol.
