Re: In Memory

I was in Tomorrowland, on the Monorail platform when the frantic Park-Wide call went out over the radio. Managers and Security came running from all directions to America Sings.

It was shocking news and left everyone numb. It was tough to carry on the rest of the day.

very sad memory.

In Memory

Why we'll never forget the tragedy of 30 years ago today

I'm not sure how you compare calamities. Are there degrees of “tragic”? Can pain and sympathy be measured? How do you determine if it's more painful to lose a parent or a child? Or for a loved one to die in war, in an accident, or in a natural disaster? What determines the magnitude of a catastrophe—how many lives are lost, how many survivors are affected, or how the lives were lost?
I did not know Debbie Stone, for me it was Randy Kop, about 38 years ago. The details on how Randy died are different from Debbie but it was something that just should not have happened. I think many of us have a Debbie or Randy in our lives , and from time to time we should stop and just think about our friends.

I miss you buddy.

Bob

Re: In Memory

Thank you for sharing this, I had of course heard of the tragedy before, but now it is in the proper context, and one can properly respect her memory, making it more than just a Disneyland death story...

Sorry if I'm being rude, but what happened?
