Also what is the best time of year to go ?
I am thinking of taking all three kids in November of next year ( they will all be big enough to ride all the rides )
I absolutly loved the rainy season, it was the best!! but what is the best time to go where the crowds are down some, and its cool outside ?
I'd say it's more crowded on Saturdays. In August, you'll have the families, and out of state, as well as out of the country, tourists, who are in Disneyland for 3-5 days, usually over a weekend. They will be the same Friday or Saturday, since they usually stay on dates that bridge the weekend.
But on Saturdays, you'll also have the premium annual passholders, and everyone else that is not working weekends in Southern California, and "on a whim" decide to visit Disneyland (I used to do this quite often before this year), and usually pick Saturday to do so.
As a result, I think you'll find Saturday to be busier. Having said that, I spent yesterday in the park, and found it not to be as bad as I'd thought (I really dreaded a Saturday on July 4th week during high tourist season).
Yeah I was thinking about going on Saturday because that is when most MCers will have the day off to visit too, but then I thought about going Saturday because it might not be as crowded, and then maybe some MCers could swing by after work for dinner.
Right now I am debating going August 15 or the 16..
...Now that I realized my mistake, I bet it will be less crowded during that time of the week. My next question is, can we walk up to the front gate, or go elsewhere, and order our park tickets in advance? I am thinking about going to the DL the day before I visit just to by the ticket. Can I do that?
Thanks frog, So it shouldn't be that bad in mid August. But I am still curious as to if it is more crowded on Saturdays or on Fridays. For my visit, I want to choose a day it tends to be less crowded.
The first time I ever went to disneyland ( 3 years ago) it was so bad in August. it was sooooo hot, and the crowds were in believeable. I would never go in August ever again. I think some where inbetween November and December is when we will go ( not neat the holiday days
Yes, you can visit Disneyland anytime and buy your tickets in advance. But consider buying them through the internet (at Disneyland.com) or at the World of Disney store instead. You won't have to bother with the security check lines, or the long lines at the ticketbooths, that way.
