Re: The most crazy UNcrowded you've ever seen it

February 5-10th WOW! We had the whole park to ourselves I swear. Main Street is so pretty at night after the rain when it's empty. Rode Haunted Mansion all by our onuses! pretty creepy. The Butler just starred us down the whole time in the strech gallery.

For me it had to be Jan 2nd this year. My Best friend and I knew it was going to be dead!!,..... I think it was the constant rain that gave us that inklin' Anywho... we had the best time ever running around the empty park, soaking wet.

Last night 7/9 was not crowded really, the food lines were very sparse. I got into the "service line" at Club Buzz, and ordered a Cheeseburger and a Ice Cream on a stick. Some people were waiting in the "exit" line where you pick up the food. This lady came up to me and started to yell, you cut right in front of me! I explained that you wait in the "service" line to order and you wait in the exit line to get your food. There was nobody in the "service" line so that is why I was able to cut in front of her. Well some hispanic family who was waiting behind her wanted to fight with me, I told them that people had lined up behind me in the "service" line and those people were ordering next. Well when the place is crowded, the lines seem to be better organized, I guess people can't read where the line starts these days.

[F][/FONT]We were at the park on a Thursday night, and my daughter and niece wanted to go on Pirates while my wife and I went on BTMRR. My daughter called me after 10 minutes and wanted to know where my wife and I were, because there was no one on BTMRR, so we just kept staying on the ride. We got off the next time around, walked over to Pirates at about 8 PM, and could see why she was freaked out: there was not a single soul visible in all of New Orleans Square, and for two thirteen-year-old girls, that was just a little too spooky!

Re: The most crazy UNcrowded you've ever seen it

The uncrowded thing actually led to one of my all-time favorite DL moments...

I don't remember the month, but this was about 2-3 years ago, during the early spring, I think. It had been slightly raining on and off through the day, so the crowds were rather light to begin with. I had my AP and was in the Anaheim neighborhood, so I decided to stop off at DL for dinner, and maybe a show. It was already dark, and the park was scheduled to close in an hour or so when I decided to head over towards New Orleans Square. Surprisingly, some sort of massive power outage or something had shut down all the lights in NOS, with the exception of a couple of small emergency lights inside a few of the buildings. The place was deserted - the only people I saw anywhere was a couple of CMs escorting a few guests out of Club 33, and a last few stragglers down by the river, headed for the east side of the park. I decided to walk through the NOS back streets, and it was eerie - once those Club 33 folks had left, there was NO ONE back in this area; not even a random security guard or janitor. The only real source of light was the full moon overhead (since all the lights were out), and it kept reflecting off the bits of water puddles left over on the NOS sidewalks from the earlier rain... As I walked through the shadows, I felt like I was part of some old film noir murder mystery; it was so... atmospheric.

I hung around, just absorbing the mood for a good 10 minutes before I decided to head back towards Main Street - I had no idea how I'd managed to avoid seeing even one cast member or security guard, and I didn't want to press my luck.

AT DL, I went on Tuesday afternoon in March, and we were able to get on about 8 rides in quick succession, including Peter Pan. The CM at Peter Pan was even commenting that he had never seen it this quiet. The park closed at 8 that night but we had put in a full day in about 2 hours!

At WDW, we had early morning reservations for Cinderella's Royal Table and my friend and I were able to walk down Main Street alone before the park opened. It was awesome. I think I took about 100 pictures!

Oh dear, C.O.... if there actually were any threats called in, you could have the FBI knocking on your door for that post, LOL. Jeesh.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Election Day 2000. It was eerily creepy. Maybe everybody was out voting or working...as it was a Tuesday. Everything was walk on, except for in the late evening some of the Fantasyland rides did a little back up for five minutes, but everything else was empty.

Pre-modern times, it would be weekdays during early 1997. I was recovering from being hit by a mini-van, was out of work while recovering, was under doctor's orders to walk as much as the pain would allow to help the break in my leg heal, and had Premium passes my girlfriend and I had received for Christmas from her well-off grandparents. We were there almost every day, with gas still cheap and a little self control to avoid eating in the park and spending money we didn't have. (Churros were our one splurge.)
Just out of curiosity, how are we determining "modern times" here? Last time I checked, 1997 is still within the last decade...

Tuesday December 5, 1995...our Honeymoon. My new hubby took a picture of me standing alone in NOS and we had a hard time finding someone to take a picture of us together with the Pirate standing outside POTC. Everything had barely a 5 minute wait.

On a side note we went to Knott's that trip as well and had to wait for more people to show up before they would run some of the rides..."not worth it for only 2 people"...can you imagine?!

July, 1984. During the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, the crowds were surprisingly light. Once the Olympics ended, the weekday crowds were GONE. I can remember more than one day just running out the exit and back onto the ride. Good times.
