A question about the Rivers of America.

I was wondering if anyone had a picture or could describe what the shore along the Rivers of America was like before they remodeled it for Fantasmic. Did the bridge at Pirates of the Carribean always exist? I was only 10 years old when they did the remodeling so I don't remember what it was like back then. I looked through the thread of historic photos and didnt see any of this area. Thats what made me think about this.

Here is an aeril photo from the 1970s.

If you zoom in near the NOS (to the right of the RoA), you can see a little how it looked. The ground infront of the NOS is concrete, it's just painted green.

There was no "sea wall" with steps. It was all one "sidewalk" down to the river's edge. There were a few planters that had grass and a tree in them. In 93 or 94, just before they redegined the RoA area, my friends and I went to DL and saw F!. One of my friends fell asleep laying down on the grass in the planter.

OMG, look, there on the right side of the picture... one of the best things to ever get dumped into Yesterland... the parking lot!!!!

No the bridge didnt exist going over pirates. It was just a chained queue to get into POTC.

the shoreline on the island changed a lot for the rivers of america stage (I saw Pearl Baily perform there) and Fantasmic. I first remember them attaching a floating stage, later that stage became more permanent, and then the whole end of the island was redone for fanstasmic. The NOS side is really the same as I remember it ever since I was a child (except of course they have reconfigured planters and lights, but the actual shoreline hasn't really changed) Pirates didn't have the bridge, the line was out in front and wrapped around the side like it does again now.
