    DL Bun Question... :)

(and no, this is NOT a post about max width dimensions for an Astro Orbiter rider)

Has anyone else noticed that the hamburger buns are just terrible now? For the past 8 months or so, it seems they have switched to (for lack of a better term) CHEWIER buns park-wide.

We went down to DL last night for a few hours, had dinner at the Village Haus, and the buns are really sooooooo awful.

What happened to the nice soft ones we used to enjoy?

Personally I like Hungry Bear's chicken sandwich, where the bun is about 4 times as large as the chicken! Talk about carb overload!

That's so funny you should mention that, because the last time (and I mean the LAST time) we were at Village Haus, I got the pizza (icky) and my friend got the hamburger and she complained the entire time about the horrible bun. Couldn't have been any worse than the cardboard they use for pizza crust, though.

We've all but totally given up on burger type meals at the Parks.

When we eat at the Parks (which is every trip, multiple times) it's at the BB, Rancho, River Belle, Rockets, Bengal's and the Plaza Inn.

We might occassionally pick up a burger or chicken sandwich at Taste Pilots Grill or Whitewater snacks, but that is about it.

I haven't been there since Dec. of last year, but I didn't think that the buns were that bad. Who knows what they are doing there now though. Maybe they are using a different vendor or something.

The bun I had at the Hungry Bear was alright, I don't remember it being that horrible.

But nothing will compare to the horrible bun I had at the Mel's up here.

ORWEN: Walt Disney World's buns are terrible, too! Us Cauldron girls even complained about it, once. Disneyland used to have much better buns and bread at Pinocchio's Village Hauss in California. We noticed a big difference for the worse the last time we were there in May of this year. I guess our complaint in Florida made them investigate and decide that both parks should have equally bad buns...
