    Re: Best attraction in... Fantasyland!

Alice is my favorite FL dark ride, but my favorite FL ride overall is Matterhorn, so that's what I chose

I have very fond memories of the Matterhorn Bobsleds. Getting a second go-around when I was 7 (without getting off)...being extra close to my boyfriend while riding...laughing my head off with holding on for dear life with my friends, me between their legs or vise versa...and of course, "Remain seated please..." *sigh*

I love Peter Pan but after waiting for about an hour in line, smelling dirty diapers there, and the ride being so short I always feel jipped when I get off lol.

Thrill rides belong in Tomorrowland (they really don't but Disneyland's management for the past 30 years seems to think that way, so oh well) but Fantasyland should always put imagination over thrills and I just don't see the current Imagineering department being able to pull something spectacular off without the aid of Pixar, technology, money, or thrills. The imagination just isn't there to create a low-budget ride that blows people away like the current Fantasyland.
I don't think the dark rides 'blow away' people - they are fun, but certainly very boring and low tech. I for one want to see some Pirate-grade AAs in there, but then people whine about taking away the nostalgic factor.

I remember hearing once that the Matterhorn was moved to Fantasyland (not physically). Is the Matterhorn still listed as being in FL? I know at one time, it was part of TL.

I think it says a lot that Pan can compete with Materhorn when they are on the same "best of..." list. Yes, there are a lot of people who say that they shouldn't have been on the same list because you can't compair an "E" to a "C." With that said, Pan is ahead.

It is currently listed as being in Fantasyland and it was part of Tommorowland at one time, but no longer.
