    Post Best attraction in... Fantasyland!

"Here is the world of imagination, hopes and dreams. In this timeless
land of enchantment, the age of chivalry, magic, and make-believe are
reborn, and fairy tales come true. Fantasyland is dedicated to the young
at heart, to those who believe that when you wish upon a star, your
dreams come true." - Walt Disney

Walt dreamed of creating a place for everyone to enjoy. Fantasyland is one of these places. This land alone has singlehandedly changed the way "Dark Rides" have been utilized in theme parks around the world.

I am 25 years old, and I used to think Fantasland was just for kids. It wasn't until two years ago, when my girlfriend at the time dragged me into the land and made me ride these rides as an adult that I grew to fall in love with them. now I don't feel any gripe with wanting to ride a "child" ride alone, because I love every part of Disneyland, including Fantasyland.

now-a-days you really can't go to any theme park that has not taken ideas from his original land. Dark rides have forever been changed with the use of Blacklights and AA's. Fantasyland is not just for kids, it is a spectacle that adults can enjoy as well.

What is your favorite rides in FL? My choices might surpass some because I am not a fan of PP. I had to limit the poll to 10, so I bunched together a few rides.

    They are:

    1) Alice
    2) Toad's
    3) Pinocchio
    4) Peter Pan
    5) Snow
    6) The others

what are your favorites and why?

I don't see a poll, but is the Matterhorn part of Fantasyland? If so, I pick that one. If not, I pick "its a small world".

it's there now.. it makes me create the poll after the post. And yes, Matterhorn crew wears the FL clothes... to me that means they are in FL.

The kids say Peter Pan, so I've voted for their choice (and ours as well).

    Thanks for asking.

I have a feeling that Peter Pan will win this poll.

I would have voted for Pan if:

    1) It was longer (not worth the wait, unless its extreemly dead at DL)
    2) It had more of the story (Could be because they had no room?)
    3) Was a little more interactive (Like how Mr. toad's "Hell" scene is hot.)

I love Alice because it is fun, long, has most of the movie (although Alice is hard to find for most.)

Yeah I know, my Avatar is the PP key. That doesnt mean I like the ride.

Mr. Toad is my personal one.
Alice (but not the teacups) and the Matterhorn are up there.

It may be just a rather silly dark ride, but we've always enjoyed Alice a great deal.

The Matterhorn is great, but I stay with the dark rides and Pick Peter Pan for it's originality.

Peter Pan...hands down! Just wish they had a fast pass for this one like in WDW! Only ride in the entire Park that REALLY needs one!
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

I think it's unfair to lump Matterhorn in there since IMO it's the only 'true' E-ticket in the land. All the rest are Strong C's and D's.

So for myself, taking Matterhorn out of the equation I have to say Mr. Toad.

That's too hard to choose because they are so nostalgic. Walt Disney oversaw the insertion of all of those attractions except Pinocchio's Daring Journey (adding during the "New Fantasyland" refurb of 1983).

I really don't have a true favorite. However, I picked Peter Pan's Flight because it is pure magic. I LOVE FLYING OVER NEVERLAND. When I'm on Peter Pan, I just sigh and think to myself "I'm in Disneyland!!! This is magical." (In WDW, you DON'T fly over Neverland!!!)

"It's A Small World" made the biggest impression on me as a child so it's a favorite for that reason. But, as an adult, the details of StoryBook Land Canal Boats impress me because now I know what kind of work went into creating it(plus the continual upkeep of the gardening on that ride),I favor it for the detail.

Peter Pan ...... I got my first kiss from a girl on that attraction. It was on the cheek and man was I in heaven. That was in 1969. Since then, I have this thing about Disney dark rides.
