I know you were asking NNL, but I'll offer my experience with DL Lost and Found.
First of all, not all of the other numbers offered here are answered as promptly or consistently as the Lost and Found number. So, while you could call Guest Services, they're also dealing with all of the other guest questions ("When is the 9:00 fireworks show being held?", etc.).
We left a digital camera on a bench outside of Wine Country Trattoria. Back at the hotel, an hour before park close, we realized it. My wife bolts out the door back to the park while I work the phones trying to reach anybody. Somehow I find Lost and Found's direct number, and they couldn't have been more helpful. My wife comes through their door just as I'm explaining the problem to them. DCA is closing in about 15 minutes, but they tell her to head back down to the restaurant while they call them. We both expected them to just say, "Here's our form. Fill it out. We'll call you if it turns up." My wife found the camera at the hostess stand. When I called back to Lost and Found to let them know, I got the same person as before, who sounded almost as relieved as we were. It was a trying situation that was made much more bearable by a Lost and Found team that went the extra mile to help.

not someone... but my debit card!! I thought I left it at Rainforest but I forgot that afterward we went into DL and a CERTAIN CM talked me into buying a pin (Ok, it wasn't hard for me to be convinced) so I put my card in that bag, stupidly, but thankfully I remembered it so crisis avoided!
