Parade of Dreams out on Main Street!!! (04/22/05)

Please trust me on this one guys, I am someone who has performed in one of theis puppets befor. Not this simba but the old one from The Lion KIng parade and there is a person inside. There legs are in the front legs of the puppet and they stand up into the head. The movment is done by moving the head with handels to move and shake the head. The eyes and mouth are moved with buttins that when prest open the mouth, blink the eyes, move eyes from side to side (with a right and left buttin). the tail is on its own to do its own programed thing. But this is a newr moddle of the old puupet and I promise you this is a puppet and there is a person in there.

These two have to be AA. At least in the face. I know this because they were singing to the music, and their facial movements were precisely in sync with the music. I saw this at least ten times.

Okay everyones been talking about how Simba went into that black tarp thing for some reason, repairs, maybe to get someone out... I was just thinking, maybe it was used so they could film simbas face, for some cool footage

The tarps were up because of the rain. It poured hard for at least 25-30 minutes. Seeing as how Simba has a shaggy mane, it's obvious that they wanted him to look like a regal king for the commercials, not like a cat that just took a bath.

I got to see the parade right when they were filming and saw all the characters out and dancing with gold flags

The pictures look so colorful. I can't wait to see this during the day and all lit up at night. And I'm a big fan of parade music--so I'm really excited to hear the music they've chosen.

If you press the buttin to open the it opens so you pres it to the music we used to do it all the time in the oand they thought the same thing you are now. it is ran by a puppetir it is not done in a conpuppet way with strings stuff but it is still a puppet. It works like an AA bnot pre programed when you hit the buttin it goes.

is the chesire cat featured on the float??

I didn't see the Cheshire cat when I was there, but he could be on the other side of the float or on another float.

They are doing dress rehearsals on the parade tonite, but I couldn't stay.
