It was the handles. They were coming off so it was not safe to put guests in the back seat, and that's why it only took one day to fix the problem--they needed to get new parts, which is the reason for the delay in fixing the problem, but once they had them, it was a simple fix.

It is one of my favorites. I used to be terrified of the drop, I would even hold my breath.
But after 10 years of being scared, I threw my hands up one time, and felt such excitement! Now I do it every time.
So what was the deal with the flooding of the controll room?
I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they fact that they couldn't load the back seats (cause the handles were coming off?) messed with the weight distribution and caused them to jam. If they were able to load the whole log, then I guess that would correct the weight distribution/ jamming problem.
I am just confused because I kept hearing that they were too long and thats why they kept jamming.

um yeah........I rode splash mountain on Friday(4/22--the day after the one-day rehab), and the ride ops were NOT loading the back seat on any logs! I couldn't believe it! So they might not be out of the woods yet on the issue of the new logs.
