Remember... Fireworks after the 50th?

Does anyone know if the Remember fireworks will continued after the end of the 50th celebration?

Re: Remember... Fireworks after the 50th?

It is something that has been discussed alot here on Micechat. I doubt it will continue for to long, but when I asked DIsneyland representatives they said it would continue after the 50th for a "limited time". The trick will probably be to keep checking the Disneyland Calendar on the Disney webpage.

I hope it does. I haven't been to DL since 1994, and want to make it back there sometime soon, but the earliest I think I can make it is February. I just hope it is still there when I finally get back to the west coast, since that's the main thing I regret not seeing for the 50th.

Re: Remember... Fireworks after the 50th?

There are several rumors out there. The first is that "Remember" will continue until Christmas or thereabout. This is not confirmed. The second was reported by Al a few weeks ago. He stated that Disney was thinking of a possible "Halloween Themed Fireworks Show". Disney didn't confirm that in their most recent Press Release about the Halloween festivities. I do, however, hope that it is true. It will be neat to see Hallowe'en celebrated at Disneyland, and what better way than with a fireworks show?

Re: Remember... Fireworks after the 50th?

Some folks were expecting a Halloween themed fireworks show or parade in October, and both were not mentioned in the Official Press Release that came out recently....

http://www.micechat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31153

Also, Disney has placed the ending date as of October 2nd for the 50th in local advertising.

So it looks like Disney has decided to offer the Remember Fireworks in October (just weekends?), and the Parade of Dreams daily.

Christmas starts on November 10th at the resort, and more than likely will go back to the Believe in Holiday Magic fireworks with snow for the season, and only offer the Christmas Parade during this time.

The bigger question, what does Disney do in early 2007???

Re: Remember... Fireworks after the 50th?

I hope not.

Disney can create an even better show than Remember if they tried.

Re: Remember... Fireworks after the 50th?

I found some good background info on Disney fireworks (current and previous) at:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remembe...eams_Come_True

Looks like Fantasy and Believe were offered for a fairly long time. But did they only show them during the summer?

Re: Remember... Fireworks after the 50th?

I think Remember is done exceptionally well, they should keep it. just update it from time to time.

Re: Remember... Fireworks after the 50th?

As of right now there are no changes to replace Remember. Then again everything is subject to change at the DLR.

Re: Remember... Fireworks after the 50th?

I could be very wrong, as the source of my information is questionable, but Dreams will continue until the last week of October, and they are working on some minor additions to Remember for the Holidays. Disney has already begun production on some of their marketing "stuff" for the Holidays, with the return of Remember and the "Snow" being the centerpiece, as in past years.

Also, no decision has been made on Fireworks for next year, but there is talk it could be a newly themed show based on the "Million Dreams" theme.

Again, take this info with a grain of salt. All be told, not sure if anyone really has a handle on what is going on.

Re: Remember... Fireworks after the 50th?

Didn't Al just say in his latest update that it most likely will remain for quite a while, they are just going to change Julie Andrews opening sequence. Same with the parade.
I am glad, because my daughter can't get there till next year, and she so wants to see it!

Re: Remember... Fireworks after the 50th?

I hope they keep the show.

it's one of the best shows, if not the best one, I have ever seen.

it's thought to choose between Illumanations:ROE and Remember... they are both good. I think I would choose remember simply because it almost makes me cry with al the history it brings to light.
