No official Micechat team that I'm aware of. Since WRDUP had a pre-existing team and started this thread, many of us have just joined his group (including me and the wife, and a few others).

Indeed. My wife and I have done the walk before. I wanted to RUN it, but she wouldn't let me. If I had run it, would Disneyland officials have stopped me and told me to walk???

Just so I understand you don't have to PAY to register. You simply have to get at least $25 on October 8th to just walk. Am I correct?

Thats how it appears. I had to sign my 2 daughters up as well since they will be doing it too and they are over 3.

Ok, that is what I thought. My son is 2 1/2 he is free!

I wonder if they will have a limit to people who register.

I was wondering if they had a limit on registration too, but I don't think so based on what I've read and the pics I've seen of previous years (TONS of people!)Regarding the $25. minimum, no you don't have to pay when you register. You just have to turn in the minimum $25. donation (registration) when you pick up your packet. You must pick up your packet BEFORE race day. The dates, times, and locations for pick up are on the website. If you download the brochure, everything you need to know is there.I did the Disneyland 5K last Saturday and am signed up for the CHOC walk. It will be my 4th walk, but my 1st CHOC Walk.

i am doing the choc walk as well. this will be my second year. But i am having trouble raising money. no one wants to donate!!! i have emailed my friends and announced it to everyone i knew on myspace and only three people have donated. you have to get a wristband in order to walk. to get a wristband you have to check-in. to check-in you need to bring your sponsorship form (printable from the choc website after you log in) to one of the check-in spots. My team, for the most part will be checking in the day of (even though choc reccommends early check-in thats not how we roll). you can find a tentative schedule of events for my team here

Oh so registering online, and just showing up and saying my name isn't enough. I haven't registered online yet as I don't know if I can commit but if I do, I will just pay the $25 myself to walk, for the experience. I don't know anyone that would sponsor me.

just cause Im gonna be there at 5am doesnt mean you have to be. i just get nervous that we wont get o good spot on maint street. you know? i would be nice if the team could atleast start the walk together. but i understand that with kids its not as easy. i am telling everyone on the team that were gonna have breakfast after the walk at la brea bakery for a littel team talk and hanging out.
