    Are You A Show Squatter?

How soon do you get set up...getting that "perfect spot" in the park for any of the following shows: Remember fireworks, Fantasmic, Parade of Dreams, or DCA No Longer Main Street Electrical Parade....?

If I have nothing else to do than to chill at the park, I will get there 2 hours ahead of time and keep my eye on the spot until it is about 1 hour before showtime and/or when it looks like other people are going to start sitting down in the area too.

remember is the only show I have to setup early in order to get the perfect spot. I would show up around 7:00 for the perfect spot, or 7:30 for close to it.

Fantasmic has a great viewing spot right next the the outside control booth that is usually open before the 10:30 show. it's the small sliver right behind the railing on the upper section.

Parade of dreams is easy, as well as the main... uhh.. I mean the attraction formally known as the Main Street Electrical Parade.

    One hour for park opening.
    Three hours before Remember.
Two hours for parade, or take my que from people starting to sit down.
    90 minutes for Billy Hill.
Two hours for Fantasmic, although that last time was really hard. No curb to get comfortable!
Goin around the world...and back to Disneyland!

I never watch the parade, unless I happen to be in that area of the park when it's going on (which usually happens... I don't know why).

For Fantasmic! I've only seen it once in recent years, and I waited three hours. I was one of the first people to get a seat, but it was a really good seat. Right in the center, at the gate. Worth it that one time, but I probably won't ever see the show again.

For Remember, I usually get there an hour in advance, but when I go in September I'm going to maybe get there 1 1/2 hours prior because it'll be the last time I see it. I mean, think of it this way, you'd easily wait an hour and a half for Space Mountain on a busy day, and that ride is 3 minutes long. Remember is 15 or so minutes in duration and amazing from start to finish.

Opening- 1 hour definetly worth it!
Parades- 45 minutes to an hour, I would wait again for Dreams or EP, but not for BPB.
Fantasmic- Riverside seating, not that impressed I'd rather go on rides.

I never squat during shows. It's really tough on your toes.

    No.
Not much of a parade person. I've seen Fantasmic! and fireworks already, and these times are the best times for going on some of the attractions.

Then again, I don't go nearly as often as many others do, so the E-Ticket Tour is what I'm doing.

I'll squat if I'm with someone who's never seen a show, otherwise nope.

I've only done it for Billy Hill on my birthday and for Remember (which in total is about 3 times).

Otherwise I really only see things as I pass by.

I try to look for the locals that already camped out the good spots and stand in front of them after grabing a random child to put on my shoulders.

Honestly though, I ride the rides when the shows go on.
