    Re: Could Subs open sooner?????

The reasons mentioned are good reasons for opening the ride earlier than the current planned date. They are also nothing Disney isn't already well aware of at this point. If it makes financial sense to push it up, if the operations would be ready to go, if the rehab can be completed safely and the ride is ready to perform up to it's designed expectations, it's been properly tested, etc. of course it will be opened earlier than the current target date.

The question is, can all of those things be completed early and everybody be ready to sign off on opening the ride without compromising safety, show, the budget and everything else? If they can open it early, they'll do just that.

If attendance sags significantly after the 50th is over, I wouldn't be surprised if they stepped up the pace to open the subs early.

On the other side, maybe the lines for the newly refurbished ride will be a little shorter if the APs are blocked out during the initial days.
I'll be the cynic here... Another angle to think of this is that since the opening is scheduled during block-out days, Disney could make a nice chunk of bonus $$$ from APer's sufficiently desperate enough to pay the additional $25 or $30 (whatever it is...) that an APer can shell out to go to DL on a block-out day.

Follow the $$$, folks. Follow the $$$.
