    Will the Sub Waterfalls return???

Since I can only judge by the pics posted by the kind souls on this board, it seems to me that there will be no more entrance waterfall for the caverns. What are your thoughts on this? It seems to me that they are needed to shield the catwalk areas from the public's view, but the rockwork framing looks to not be able to contain a waterfall pond.

I think the island is too big, but it's still way too early to make any judgements about it. Personally, I'm kind of bummed that John Lasseter just missed the conceptual design phase of this attraction. At least he's able to put his touches on it here and there, but I think it would've been a MUCH different attraction if he were involved from the beginning.

Seeing the new stuff from WDI gives me faith that whatever they've decided to do with the sub lagoon, it will be great. But John Lasseter is like our safety net, he won't let anything happen to Disneyland that would hurt it.

I don't see why they wouldn't return. You have to not only hide the entrances to the caves but no waterfalls might make it too bright in the caves as well.

I'm thinking maybe water flows over the new island/under the monorail and forms a new fall over the entrance to the new island cave - - at least I hope so.

The waterfall at the entrance of the cave will definitely return. The nearby sea monster is also slated to return. Wh knows what types of special effects will be installed at the new island. Another waterfall would be COOL, without question.

It wouldn't be difficult at all to add a waterfall to camouflage the new entrance portal - and considering the ride's history, it's probably already planned for. All they need is a pump outlet pipe at the top of the rocks to form a "stream", and the last few feet of rocks sculpted to direct the flow the way they need it to go.

If they made several overlapping fan-shaped fountains of water, it would look more realistic than the one wide "sheet" flow at the old portals, even though it will take more water to cover the same area.

Doing it without a "pond" over the top would look more realistic, as well as providing a more rapid shutoff of the water flow - cut the pump, and the flow would be off in seconds rather than minutes.

I'd imagine that they'd want to put the waterfalls in and planned to have it in advance.

I heard he wont return, but there will be a rock shaped like the sea serpent nearby in that area. I think a different character is going there.

Well, I know they sold him. And I can't see why they would want to remake the same silly looking thing.

I'd expect a waterfall of some kind to make a return. I just find it odd that, given the size of the new rock formation / show building, there's not much lagoon left!

OK, now that we got the waterfall established it seems to me from the photos that they are extending the caves. However, it seems that we are getting less and less of a lagoon.

Good question. I imagine some form of waterfall is going to take place judging by the look of the rockwork. In my opinion, I think there may be more than just the two covering the entrances.

They sold his counterpart from WDW, not the one from DL.

All reports on information that we have heard have confirmed that the serpent will still remain in the ride.

Why would they make a new serpent? Why?! Because of online communities like MiceChat, that's why The serpent has a fanbase.

The silly little thing is coming back??

Darn - by video, it looked just really fake and silly.

Oh. But then again Nemo is more "fun" than that of Captain Nemo, so maybe it could work.
