Let's not forget that the budget decision has to come from Burbank, not TDA. Iger could sure make some fans if he approves it though.

I really hope they don't let us down. Watching the old Disneyland USA shows and seeing all the activity in TL that doesn't exist anymore made me sad. To have it all come back would be worth the price of my AP.

PeopleMover coming back??? Yaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! If this story is true then I'll be jumping with excitement when it finally happens. In addition, having the Rockets go back to their rightful & original spot would be awesome too!

Gee, to think that Tomorrowland could actually make a compelete come back is the best news yet!! Hail to the New New Tomorrowland!!!

Oh, I can't wait. true the PM was never the most thrilling rides in the park but it was always one of my favorites....I loved it. a great place to rest, sight-see the rest of TL, re-group, it was a sweet, nice ride.
It was pretty cool to ride above everything and see so much of TL. It's a fantastic crown eater, I's nestolgic, yet with a new look could be compleatly futeristic to fit in perfectly.......
    I can't wait

and for any nei-sayers out there, they are fixing TL, it will be great, give the imaginears some credit...this is what they are good at.
and if you think it's boring or dull, don't ride... there will be plenty of other things to do too.

The People Mover coming back is a no brainer. It is a ride the whole family can enjoy. The question is, how will they do it? Will it have some sort of theme? Will they have a new score and narration?

The Peoplemover video on Visions Fantastic is very good. Only, I really think it wouldn't hurt for them to go 5mph faster.

I really think that in his first few months, Iger will spend a LOT of money. He wants to remake all the friends that Eisner lost, and I think he'll do whatever it takes to do it.

SO signing for a renovation of the Peoplemover might not be too difficult to have him do

Yay for bringing back the PeopleMover! I don't really care if the ride is slow or fast... it'll just be nice to see something on those tracks instead of leaving them empty!

    I don't know about this...

I doubt that it will be true for the film studio... But I am still watching this division with a critical eye...

Heh, my jaw dropped when I read that bit of Al's column. I barely remember the Peoplemover, but I loved riding the track when the Rocket Rods were open - it was just too brief.

I bet they're gonna do this, and I bet they're gonna do this fast, because:
    - Fans seem more excited about the Peoplemover than practically anything else
    - A revamp would be relatively simple, so it wouldn't take two years like SM
    - A revamp would also be relatively cheap, since it's not a complex ride
    - It would both attract and eat crowds in TL, as well as adding to the atmosphere

...BUT, I seem to be the only one that's not super happy about moving the Astro Orbiter. I thought it made the front of TL look great compositionally, and I never thought it bottlenecked crowds too much. On the other hand, it *would* make the ride a lot more fun.

Natural progression in this hopefully being:
Al says new Peoplemover and moving the Rockets back up top
Swagdaddy says new Peoplemover and moving the Rockets back up top
MiceChat minions say new Peoplemover and moving the Rockets back up top
Matt demands new Peoplemover and moving the Rockets back up top to keep said minions happy as a clam
Burbank approves new Peoplemover and moving the Rockets back up top
Magic elves, or Elvis' make the changes over night
    Everyone happy now again!

I'm stoked at the thought of a revived PeopleMover.

However, it all just sounds WAY too good to be true. Totally wiping out the AstroOrbiter for a RocketJets return? Re-vamping and re-fitting of the RocketRods set-up for a PeopleMover revival? Way too good to be true.

However, Al is pretty good at what he does. Rarely does he report something that doesn't happen.

I dont know... I'll just have to believe it when I hear Disney officially announce it or when I see serious work going on up on the PeopleMover track... or when I'm actually in a PeopleMover bucket.

Wow. Just the thought gives me goosebumps!

Definately the best update of the year, Al.
