I'm sure that many of us diehards agree with you. However, the real problem was that people would get bored and leave in the middle of the show. So the door kept getting opened which ruined the show for everyone who wanted to stay. At least in the abbreviated form, there are fewer people who get up and leave (Usually just teenagers or parents to remove a screaming child).

Now, if they'd just start serving tiki drinks at the tiki room, we'd be set!

What a brilliant idea, Dusty! Mai Tai's all around!
Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
    Marge: Pink.
    Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"

actually, I'd be content if they just brought the dole whip back. That's an attraction in itself!

i haven't been in the tiki room in so long, i must of been 7 years old!

This show would put me to sleep and because of that i didn't like it but I guess that I can probably check it out to see what the hypes about. I agree though if they served drinks, i would definitely be in there more often, LOL

My mom, step-dad and brother had never been in the Tiki Room before either. I took them in there for the first time on Mother's Day last year. My mom thought it was ok, but the clacking sounds of the birds bothered the lot of them.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

I know we have some floating around our house, as well as some extras iSm. Nathan found a full bag of leis over the weekend while cleaning out the garage. I think there are some anklet leis in their as well.

I am always up for a Tiki Meet. This time I may even do it sans hubby & kids.

I believe the Offenbach number was cut in the late 90's (perhaps 97). It shaved about 5 minutes from the show.

    . . . I'll get offen your back if you'll get offen mine . . .

OK, I asked because I wanted to know if I experienced it.
And I did. Odd though, my last few visits to DL post 97, I never really noticed! Nor did my dad (who went when it first opened)
