    My Heart Belongs to Disneyland

I recently spent 9 wonderful days at WDW. I had a great vacation. I am very fortunate again this year, in that I will be going to Disneyland on the 27th Of August and staying until the 3rd of September. As much as I enjoyed Florida's Disney World, I can honestly say:

    My heart belongs to Disneyland.

Last year was the first time that I visited Disneyland, and I fell in love with the place. It was truly magical for me.

This thread will count down the days until I leave.

As of today, I have 25 days before I am there.

Sean and I have been to Disney World together, but this will be his first time to Disneyland, and my 2nd. I am very excited.

Disneyland is the one you would want to go there.

    Less parks, more magic....The original.

*nods* I would love it, yes. Plus, it's where Walt really was.

Re: My Heart Belongs to Disneyland

That's my excuse to my Walt Disney World friends. I say Walt Disney actually "played" in Disneyland. And they are left speechless (:

My parents are always asking, "Want to go to DisneyWorld?"
And I say, "Nope. Why not Disneyland? It's closer."

    Haha.

Re: My Heart Belongs to Disneyland

I've only ever been to Disneyland, and there is something indefinably 'magic' about the place. Partly because of thr 50th celebrations, but you can feel the history of the place as soon as you step through the gates.

I had this wonderfully surreal moment an hour or so after I'd stepped off a 14 hour flight. There I was sitting in Downtown eating a sandwich with this giant California facade on one side, and Disneyland's entrance on the other. Space Mountain could be seen looming in the distance. You could just sense it was going to be a special holiday (and as it turns out, it was).

Excited for you. With the exception of my HKDL trip in just over a month (yay!), I'm almost 2 years away from the magic.

    Barbaraann,

I love both places. There is a special nostalgia at Disneyland that is absent at WDW, but on the other hand, there is so much more to do at WDW.

I know that you will enjoy your trip to DL. It is the atmosphere there is magic. So much packed into a small space. Also, I don't have foot problems at DL as I seem to at WDW. Not as much walking...

Still looking for a Jiminy Cricket, though...

Love Disneyland and Walt Disney World!
