    Where's the 2nd best place for D-land?

Let's say we learn from Scientists that California will fall into the sea in 6 months time, Disney is prepared, however, and has figured out a way to move Disneyland to any other place in the nation with no structural problems at all. Disneyland would be exactly as it is now in Anaheim. (I know it's a stretch, but just play pretend with me...)

Where would you move it to? (For the purpose of this thread, pretend that California no longer exists, but all other states are unharmed. )

I would probably put it in Las Vegas, out a ways from the Strip, maybe in a field somewhere north of town. I think the location would be pretty close to Cali, and the weather is not as hot as some other Southern locales can get in the summer.

    Anyone else have an opinion?

ugh las vegas gets soo humid though...and there are roller coasters and even a small themepark at hotels there...it would have to compete with them as well as all the themed hotels there...
other than my backyard (lol not big enough) i think maybe santa barbara or even palm springs (its hot yeah...) somewhere thats kinda touristy pretty good weather and about the same drive from Los Angeles...where a lot of people visiting california go too....or maybe even san diego though it would compete with sea world and the zoo...san francisco too would be good...

I would have said in the empty field at the end of my street... but since Cali no longer exists in this scenario... hey, what happens to the Californians? Never mind, that's OT.

Nevada's next best I guess. I don't want it to be any farther from me than it already is!

    Camarillo.

We have lots of farmland out here, nice weather, etc.

I've always thought this would be a good area for a park.

Then again, if CA falls into the Ocean Vegas will be ocean front property.

If CA falls into the ocean, then so will the mountain ranges that keep Nevada a desert. So I'd say Nevada.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Texas would be a good place for Disney as a company. Everyone is moving there and you get a good mix of people that would definitely go spend $$$

Australia (around Sydney) or NZ (Aukland area).

If in US, Nevada (Same reason as Morrigoon; weather should moderate as well)
If land is no problem, then Hawaii (give Dole Whips a completely new meaning!)

Camarillo is in California. I thought we were naming places anywhere BUT CA. lol. Although it is a nice place, I used to spend a lot of time here back in the day when I lived in Thousand Oaks.

Here here! I agree! Arizona would be great! Although I think it would do better in between Phoenix and Tucson because there is all that land with nothing there. It would be perfect, although it might get toasty for some people.

My vote is for Arizona...then Walt's train could go by the REAL Grand Canyon, without having to go into a tunnel!

Can't we just put a big bubble over Disneyland so when California does sink, we can just take one of the Nemo Subs down to it??????

I'll go along with my fellow curmudgeons, Statler and Waldorf on this one:

Statler: This is a very moving experience.

Waldorf: Yeah! They should move it to Pittsburgh!
