That was a wonderful video. I miss that ride and other things seen from it that are now also gone so much.

    *sigh*

Such wonderful memories! I had forgotten how much I missed the old Tomorrowland riding the Skyway through the Matterhorn (with the view of Yeti!) and being able to see the Peoplemover circling the Rocket Jets.

Thank you for digging up this gem, Ride Warrior!

This was excellent!!! The way Tomorrowland should be today! I saw a lagoon not rocks, rocket jets were in the right place, and the people mover was running!

Thank you for posting that! I almost cried when I saw the old Tomorrowland.... and I forgot that you could see the Yeti when you passed through the mountain.

I do recall getting stuck on that ride every single time we rode it LOL

I didn't mention it because I thought I was the only one - but it did bring a tear to my eye. Oh, how profound a memory!

This is a great video, and brings back some memories of around the same time period. Peoplemover and Skyway were always two rides we made sure we hit every time!

It has been a theme/amusement park since the late 1800's just like the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, Plus it still has a Sky-way! Very fun!
Wasn't that a blast? I bet you'll be going back.

A bunch of designer friends and current and former Imagineers of ours, and I, go to Cedar Point once a year...religiously...gosh, for over 20 years now at least. One of them watches the mail like a hawk and within 2 days of Cedar Point announcing the current season's rates and specials...we have to have all our rooms and airfares booked or he goes into anxiety melt-down! And if he's reading this...he knows we always rib him about just that.

As you say, it's not Disneyland by any means. It's simply different. But one thing for sure: This amusement park on the Great Lake's "Roller Coast"...is just pure fun, fun, fun!

And I love the history of the place and especially staying at the old Hotel Breakers. It's not quite the Hotel Del Coronado, and it could use some updating here and there. But it's a great old-style white clapboard hotel whose walls I bet have seen few things over the last 100 years!

To tell the truth, the initial impact of reliving this beautifol experience caused me to become a tad teary-eyed. I cried in rhythm to the music.
