Ax outside the Fantasyland Theater

Is anyone familiar with the ax sculpture outside of the Fantasyland Theater? Is it there because of the Snow White show? Will it be leaving when the show closes?

Yup It,s part of the Snow white show. However, knowing Disney, it'll be there for a while

Thank you, although, I was hoping someone would say it would be leaving on Labor Day, if not sooner. For some inexplicable reason my three year old grandson is terrified of it. He prays every night that it will go far away.
