With the castle repainted and redone into something less pale, are they still planet to keep using the trick in these photos? (1, 2, 3)
That last one is about as lovely as WDW's Castle By Pepto, although it might look better in motion. Personally, my favorite idea was that one Jim Hill article that involved something like using a bunch of fog machines to display IMAX projections on. So that you could watch the castle be built in hyperspeed at full size.
The fireworks have been approved for Matterhorn and Castle. I saw the guys setting up morters around back by costuming building acouple months back.. it was a big test. I hope they could use some of the backstage areas like costuming building and the old Big Thunder Bbq/festival stage. It also would be cool to have a smaller Fantasmic! like pyro going off for an alternative to the castle but pyro still up close. I really dont think a round would work in Disneyland because of its size and closeness to Disneys California Adventure.. Poor GC who will be working there for the 10 months .. I will be one of them by the end of it most likely though. Through the call board i got the wires will be going up by the end of next month. but knowing Disney itll be the week before the fireworks start.
no one exactly seems to know the mechanics of the lift system for tinkerbell, because apparently it's changing on a daily basis. i've heard that there are several potential flights plans of varying levels of impressive difficulty depending on which maneuvers can be executed with each layout of cables and pulleys.
I don't think this was mentioned... and there was a post where someone was worried that it wouldn't be a "new" show... well, don't worry - it's a NEW show and they're trying to make it as GROUNDBREAKING as possible because they know how well received Believe was. And as for the soundtrack: the fireworks show is based on the E-Tickets of the past and present, so expect to hear music from your favorite attractions around Disneyland.
