What can be done about line jumpers?

    Seriously.

Can Disney arm CMs with tazers to zap these idiots who don't want to wait 15 minutes in line for Pirates (one of the fastest moving lines in the park)?

Or the idiots who cut in line right in front of a CM, like on Space or Screamin'?

I've seen CMs force line jumpers back to the end of the line when they see them, but what gets into the caveman-sized minds of these people to make them think they don't have to stand in line?

A few years back I was in line on Thunder Mountain when a group of four teenage guys tried to work their way through to the front of the line. I pulled out my wallet and flashed my work I.D., claiming to be Disney security. I escorted the guys out of line and returned to my spot to the cheers of all those around me. Now it sounds like poor judgment on my part, but the feeling of justice at the time was overwhelming! Of course, I didn't then nor have I ever worked for Disneyland.

I like tazers better. Zap them in the leg.

Or you can get a very very high-pressure Super Soaker...or FIRE HOSE! and spray them out of the line.

EMBARASSMENT...It's the only thing that I have seen work.We were in line for Splash Mtn and watched as two guys jumped the fence and stepped through the bushes to get into the line. They started talking to two girls, who they obviously didn't know.I blurted out (I'm good for that) to the two guys, "um, excuse me...The line starts back that way. It's pretty rude to cut in front of all of these people. Do you think that you are better than us?" The girls gave them the cold shoulder, like they didn't want ANYTHING to do with them, the guys looked around and saw all of the immediate guests in line looking at them, so they looked and laughed a little at each other, and then left the line.A few folks clapped as they were leaving. NIMRODS...

Re: What can be done about line jumpers?

This type of guest REALLY pisses me off so I won't get started, but someone cut in front of me in DCA and it made my entire group wait an extra 5 minutes for us to cycle through the next cycle.

These people should be kicked out of the park, no questions asked. And if they are APs, they should have their passes revoked with no refund and no chance of renewal. The CMs are clueless, when I tried to get in front of the line cutter, *I* was the one who had to wait. The CMs need to be better on the look out for this type of behavior.

I can handle strollers and I don't mind the guy that points everything out on rides, but cut in line and that gets me mad to no end. A good video camera system would work so that when they get to the front they are escorted out of the park and have their passes canceled. It'd be worth the money for a video system just to catch someone in the act.

And bravo to the people who embarrass these people, they deserve it.

You can do what is done at SFMM - that is, give everyone a numbered ticket at the front of the line. If you don't have one (or have one out of sequence) at the point where the CM takes it, you don't get to go any further.

Of course - this would probably create a whole new problem w/ more litter.

I haven't really noticed it that much at DL in Anaheim. But man is it bad over at DLP. The lines were so wide there that if you were not aggressive you would lose your place in line very easily. People would just come in and take it. A cattle prod would have been nice.
