Blue Bayou Menu Question...

Hey everyone!

Just wondering if the menu information on allearsnet.com is correct? It shows that appetizers cost LESS at dinner? In particular it shows that the Crab Cakes are $11.99 at lunch and $8.99 at dinner...Is this true?

I am taking a solo trip next month and thought of going there just for the Crab Cakes and some dessert since I usually share a meal with dh when we go and I thought this might work well. So if it IS true, it's better to go for dinner - I usually go just during lunch (Monte Cristo).

I think it has to do with portion sizes. So the dinner appetizer is probably a true-size appetizer, where at lunch it could stand alone as an entree with maybe a salad.

As it turns out, if you have any crab cakes left over, bring them with you, sea gulls go wild for those things!

I'm look at the two menu and the Crab cake for dinner cost $11.99

and the lunch crab cake are for Cost of $8.99

I think that the lunch Crab Cake are smaller than the dinner ones.

It was my understanding that BB doesn't serve Monte Cristos anymore.
They were moved to Cafe Orleans.

The Monte Cristo is only served at lunch, but I believe it's $18.99 as opposed to Cafe Orleans where it's $14.99. (I may be getting the prices wrong, I'm working from memory and I've been up since 5 AM. Too lazy to look for the pictures at the moment.)

Sadako is right about he Monte Cristo.

And I'm pretty sure that since APs went crazy when they saw the menu price difference, they have the appetizers being charged the same at lunch and dinner, although I'm not 100%.

I'm much more of a Cafe Orleans expert now, anyways. :P

Just another question about the Blue Bayou. Is it possible to order and entree and just have it come without the soup or salad?

AFAIK, they do not serve items A La Carte. I don't suppose it hurts to ask, though.

It's a little sweet for my taste but it's still good. I don't know about the new menu but I had tried everything on the old lunch menu and you couldn't go wrong. Everything is great.

They're good, but I can't say they're worth $19! Sheez, I remember when they sold them at Tahitian Terrace for $1.75!
