    Sorry about the spelling im not good at that but I thought you would like to know and that was more importaint than the spelling. I also was in a rush to post it , I had to leave for work.

    I rememer reading that some genious told them to remove the mechanism cause they didn't need it any more and it was olde and outdated.. and it would require extensive work and money to replace it...

    and, in general, one commenting on another's lack of proper spelling and grammar ought to check one's own spelling. "Wern't" is not a contraction. The contraction of were and not is weren't.

    And yes, the drawbridge mechanism was not fixed due to cost.
