Cool New Wall in Haunted Mansion...

I don't know if it's been posted yet, but on my last visit (8/19-20) I noticed a new wall. The wall is where the tent (side of the staircase) you to be and once you get to the top of the staircase, you can see it extend into the dead corner that was never used.
    Anyone know what's going on?
I took a picture w/ a flash (I know, me bad). It looks like I saw something peeking over the top of the wall.
I would post the picture, but I don't know how.

I also noticed an outside lamp (attached to the house) is missing (facing the que line).

Anyone know when they transfered the ghost host speil of (ahhh..I didn't mean to frightening you prematurally. The real chills come.....) into the elevator vs. hearing it when in the hallway?

What? Do you mean "used" to be? Are you talking about the inside, outside, or which room?

    Inside.
Along the side of the staircase (going up) just before you see the endless hallway.
Because the area is dark already, it's very hard to see the black wall.
I had to take a picture at first to make sure I was seeing it right.
The latter on I took one from a distance.
If I knew how to post pictures, I would.

There's a staircase before the endless hallway? Is that at the beginning in the doombuggies? I never thought of that as a staircase as we are on wheels on a track, right? I wish I understood what you are talking about. I just rode in Tues and would have on Sunday but the ride broke down just before I got to the doombuggies.

I know what your talking about
but I'm sure that's not the reason.
When you go up the staircase, there's a far corner that has never been used. It has remained empty and dark...prob. because it's a corner and the doom buggies don't face that way.
Plus the wall is also in the area that the "tent" (along the side of the staircase) was. It lookes like construction. If you look closely towards the bottom of the wall (before going up the staircase) you can see lights on and looks to be work in progress.
Once at the top of the staircase you'd have to take a flash picture or have a light to see the new wall (along w/ looking behind your doombuggy).

If a CM who works the mansion could chime in, that would be great.

Also, looks like Jack has a new home. The merchandise is now where the Christmas shop was. They have ripped everything out of the old shop. Prob. more pirate stuff going in.

It's actually an emergency exit for wheelchairs. It was installed over the last refurb.

So then, it sounds like it's not "new", is it?

The ramp, along with the wall that blocks it, are both new.

I know this ride by heart. Everytime you try to clarify yourself, I get even more confused. I still have no idea what youre talking about. So you have no idea how to post a pic? (Im a visual learner)

The next time you go on the ride, look at the wall behind the 2nd cast member at the loading area. Just behind that wall is a ramp for wheelchairs to exit during an emergency. Like I said, it was installed over the last refurb. Believe it or not, the recent extensive refurbishment wasn't really to fix up the ride. 80% of the time used was to add two additional wheelchair exits in case of emergency situations (fire, earthquake, etc). The other ramp, I believe, is in the graveyard.

Re: New Wall in Haunted Mansion...

I've noticed that the loading area (and other areas as well) are too brightly lit now. But it's especially bad in the loading area, which lends itself to noticing things you were never meant to notice.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...
