    Down on Pooh

It seem to me that most people are not impressed with the Winnie the Pooh ride. Why is this?

    Re: Down on Pooh

    Kind of a misleading title....

I think it's more to do with the fact that it replaced The Country Bears rather than the ride itself.

    Re: Down on Pooh

There's a plethora of older threads on this, but my personal take is this:

People are still ticked that CBJ was taken out, and that we didn't get a ride of the calibre of Tokyo.

Personally I think the Pooh ride is just fine. It's no worse than Pinnochio or Snow White. In fact I think it's better than Snow White. But I'm certainly the exception in that thinking. I also didn't care for the Country Bears at all, so anything would have been an improvement IMO.

Because the Country Bears were replaced! I have honestly only been on Pooh once since it opened and that was over two years ago! The ride replaced a DL classic and has not and will not become a classic.

Look for Country Bear Jamboree to reappear in DCA. Boy, they'll do anything to get people into that park...

Well, I wasn't impressed with not to creative ending ("It's your birthday!!!") but thought it was good otherwise.

I just miss the CBJ, was a much better attraction.

I agree with everybody else. Its not the fact that its a bad ride or anything, its just that they replaced the ride I grew up on. That show was a classic. I was so happy to see the show again when I went to WDW. COUNTRY BEAR JAMBOREE NEEDS TO COME BACK!

I did not like CBJ, but that Pooh ride SUCKS. Its in the wrong land! They should put it in Fantisy land with the other cardboard cutout rides for kids.

I think Winnie the Pooh ride is great! Just as good as Heimlich and his body train! Just wouldn't stand in line for 2 hours to ride it!

    Re: Down on Pooh

Disneyland *was* known to exceed expectations and to be well themed. Pooh is neither.

It's in the wrong land. It's a short, flat, boring ride in the corner of a grand land after a long walk. You expect more. You don't really expect much from Snow White, but it does offer some better immersive environments. Those trees practically grab you. Pooh is uniform and dull, almost like a store display. It replaced what was clearly a well thought out show (at least the original country bears) with talented performers and amazing technology and I say this even though I dislike country music.

So Pooh is an off-themed C-Ticket ride that subtracts from the land and really isn't very fun and it replaced an E-Ticket.

ya it's more that CBJ was replaced. To me there always seemed to be alot of people at CBJ and not sure why it was replaced. Also I completely understand that DL is not a museum, but if you are going to replace somthing it better be with something spectacular and Winnie is a bit underwhelming.
