I have always wanted to work the monorail, is that repetitive like the tram? Whenever we have a tram driver like that I always say he must be a jungle cruise skipper.

Not related to trams, but had me laughing too:

Rode iasw right before park closing and the CM in the little raised booth was acting like a sports announcer, calling out which rows were loading fasted. "And the lady in 3 is down... just waiting on the gentleman in the blue hat.. no, is he... no row 2 gets it!" He was good. Was funny.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

I would imagine that the only true way to keep sane is to mentally sing the theme to "It's a Small World" over and over and over again.

Sounds like your tram attendant was a Southwest Airlines flight attendant reject...

This is a WDW account, but semi-related since they have all the buses, that must be as bad or worse than the trams. On the Magical Express, which is a rather long ride from the airport to the resorts, we were sitting in the front seats, and the CM built up this big competition between us and the two people in the front on the other side. He kept telling us we would have a competition to see who got to go to their hotel first. While he teased us with that, he told us about a bridge that frequently had an alligator sitting underneath. I have no idea if a gator really hung out there, or if he just enjoyed making us all look. He asked some trivia questions, and finally the competition ensued. He asked my friend Paul to sing It's a Small World in it's entirety including all the languages. lol

Obviously neither Paul nor the other front seat riders succeeded (or even tried). When we disembarked, I asked the driver if anyone had ever succeeded. He said No. Maybe next time I'll be ready.

I wish I had some DL bored cast member accounts (since I go to DL most often) but I have yet to encounter that.

I think this would keep me entertained for awhile:

Por favor montegan se allejandros de las puertas

    dónde están las puertas?

    Louder: dónde están las puertas?

We're not going anywhere until someone returns the puertas.

Sorry to bring life to an old thread, but I had to comment on this. I once got the Jungle Cruise treatment on the tram, and I thought it was great! He did the "Thanks for coming, thanks for spending your day here at Disneyland, thanks for spending all of your money here at Disneyland..." It got a lot of "it's funny because it's true" looks.

He also interrupted the recording multiple times, cutting it off and saying "Shut!" then playing it again and cutting it off, saying "Hey! Stop it!"

I thought it was a bit over the top, but still loved every bit of it. Ever since then (this was maybe a year ago), I've been praying for it to happen again, but it never comes...
