    Your first Annual Pass

When did you get your first annual pass? I remember I bought mine when I was in Jr High school, sometime around 1982. I remember it cost $50, and had no black out dates. Parking was not an option (since it only cost .50 or $1. I couldn't drive so it didn't matter). My grandparents went to church at Melodyland across the street and I would walk over to Disneyland for a couple hours while they praised the Lord (I was a devil child. No Jesus for me). Wow, I am getting old.....

I believe I got mine as a Christmans present in 1997. It was the basic AP, so I had to worry about blackout days, but it was nice to have a way to hang out with my friends at the park without shelling out admission every time.

We bought ours in November. We might be doing it only for this year, not sure.

I can't remember exactly, but I bought my first AP probably 9 years ago. I had gone to Disneyland with most of my family for some reason, and my oldest sister was her usual Ursula-ish self (she's been exorcised since then, and we're great friends now). Anyway, I was so pissed off at her that I decided to leave the park hours early, but decided that I wasn't going to let her ruin my day completely, so I coughed up the extra cash for an AP. I loved it immediately. Suddenly Disneyland turned into a real "park"; no stress, no hurry. Suddenly I was free to smell the roses.

I was doing some model work for Knott's at the time (study models of their attractions), and ended up buying most of my family Disneyland APs for Christmas for the next couple of years. I've had one ever since, as have most of the family. I hope Disney has appreciated the thousands of dollars we've spent since then, as much as we've enjoyed spending them!
